The Complete Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection Blu-Ray Box Set

Harry Potter Wizard's Collection Ultimate Blu-Ray Box Set

For those of you who have previously purchased past box-sets containing seven or less HarryPotterfilms, I’ve got some bad news for you that you should have foreseen a mile away. Warner Bros. will be releasing the very first collection of all eight Harry Potter films together for the first time in one massive 31-disc collector’s set (37 hours of special features – 10 of which is bonus, 5 of which is never before seen material).

Right before the new year, Warner Bros. put all of the Harry Potter films in their own personal vault, much like how Disney does it with their animated features. But this fall it looks like Harry will escape from Azkaban to visit our world one more time before he’s locked back up in the cupboard or wherever WB is hiding him. Keep reading to find out what’s inside this massive box set!  Conveniently chocked full of unnecessary DVDs,  this box-set contains so many discs that are so useless if you’re just looking to get the blu-ray copies. There are 12-DVDs that feature content that are already on Blu-ray discs, so what’s the point? Not to mention that this comes with an Ultraviolet copy of each movie too. Why not just make a blu-ray version and DVD version? It would probably cut down on costs wouldn’t it?

I’ll admit I was dumb enough to buy Deathly Hallows Part 1  and Part 2, but only because I loved Part 1 and I got the Target exclusive of Part 2 that had the documentary, When Harry Left Hogwarts – which was really cool by the way. So I guess I’ll bite the bullet and have two copies of those movies, but I think I’ll wait til an ULTIMATE ultimate box set comes out with every extended version of the movies. The extended versions of the HP movies are so much better than the theatrical versions.

I’m actually really disappointed that this box set doesn’t have all the extended versions. The only place you can find all the extended version of the films are on ABC Family. (Strange, right?) This box set only comes with the extended version for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.

You can get this puppy now for the lowered value of $349.99 before it goes back up to $500 – whenever that’ll be. If you can wait, I’ll bet in a year or so it’ll dip down in price. The complete series of Lost on blu-ray is retailed at $280, but I’ve seen it drop down to as low as $99.99. So there’s hope. I’m sure many muggles who have waited for the entire series to end to purchase the films can’t wait to spend their hard earned pennies on this box set.
