For those of you who have previously purchased past box-sets containing seven or less HarryPotterfilms, I’ve got some bad news for you that you should have foreseen a mile away. Warner Bros. will be releasing the very first collection of all eight Harry Potterfilms together for the first time in one massive 31-disc collector’s set (37 hours of special features – 10 of which is bonus, 5 of which is never before seen material).
I’ve got a collection of some great Harry Potter videos I’ve stored up because I’ve been way too lazy to write about and post them. I’ve got everything you need for a post HP fix now that you’ve probably seen the movie 18 times. Voldemort shows his softer side, Harry Potter ends differently, a Rebecca Black parody, a wizard rap battle between Gandalf and Dumbledore, and the final farewells from the cast, crew, and J.K. Rowling.
Check out all of these amazing videos after the jump!
Now this is the Harry Potter montage I have been waiting for! Warner Bros. Pictures have given us an extraordinary look back at how far we’ve come in the past 10 years with the Harry Potter movies. It is quick, it doesn’t spoil the movies, and it really amps you up in anticipation for the last film! If you have never gotten into the movies or the books and need a reason to, watch this montage and I believe that you will soon see why people are so infatuated with the Harry Potter universe! Watch the incredible video after the jump and for those who may feel like this may tug on your heartstrings, bring a tissue!
Got the itch for a better look at what you will see this Friday? Well you’re in luck! Thanks to the marketing people who control the Harry Potter movie franchise on Facebook, we get a few sneak peaks at some stills from the movie and production! I grabbed a lot and you can check them all out after the jump!
With less than two weeks to go, the end of an era that is the Harry Potter film franchise will come to a close. With the the final film, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2, Warner Bros. has released some pretty awesome posters that any potter fan would die to get their hands on.
I’m just a big fan of the marketing. The fact that they don’t even have to use the full title of the movie on any of them other than HP7: Part 2 just goes to show how much of a impact this brand has on consumers. It’s like McDonald’s just using their golden arches or Starbucks removing their name from their cups. I kind of wish they took out the HP7: Part 2 from the poster and just stuck with just the tagline.
The continuous tagline, “It All Ends” sums everything up perfectly. No other words could solidify what the past 10 years have been leading up to. After the jump you’ll be treated to 11 hi-res character posters along with four other epic poster art.
About a week or so ago, everyday the folks at Warner Bros. have been releasing a unique Harry Potter character poster of each of the cast with the same ominous wording “IT ALL ENDS”. They don’t even have the title of the movie on the posters, but honestly, do they really need to? It has been a long decade of wizarding and fantasy that will truly and sadly all come to an end. Thus far we have Harry, Hermione, Ron, Snape, Neville, Voldemort, and Draco posters. I would assume there are more to come with each day passing. I foresee possible posters with Luna, Ginny, Hagrid, Bellatrix, Lucious, and maybe even Dumbledore in the future. But for now, check after the jump to see all the current hi-res posters! Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 opens in theaters in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D (both post converted) July 15!
I came across this really awesome infographic that shares the treasures of amazing tidbits that the Harry Potter universe has injected into our world. Did you know J.K. Rowling was the first billionaire (in U.S. dollars) by writing books? What other factoids can be revealed? Well you’ll have to see after the jump!
MTV sits down with the cast of Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton) to teach them to speak “American” phrases in American accents aka “The Freedom Language.” American Talk, with Josh Horowitz, is the only talk show devoted to teaching strange foreigners how to speak the right way, the American way. Watch the video after the jump.
Less than two weeks away and Harry Potter fans every where will be treated to the first half of the final installment of the past decade’s most epic movie franchise. As a newly formed Potter fan who has just read all of the books for the first time this year, I can only emphasize my joy in these featurettes with a few words, “OH BOY!” If you have not read the book than I can assure you SPOILER WARNINGS AHEAD, these featurettes give away quite a few intricate scenes to the film plot. Check them out after the break!
We’ve already seen the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows trailer promoting both films, but now Warner Bros. has officially released an amazing new trailer focusing just on Part 1 of the incredible ending to the Harry Potter series. This new trailer is jam packed full of everything from the book and doesn’t seem to leave out any detail. The trailer provides many new clips from the movie that we haven’t seen before, maybe too many. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 will be so full of awesomness that I can’t imagine how far they are going to go with Part 2.
With less than two months to go, this trailer does the book justice from what I can tell, but I am a little concerned whether things in this movie will make sense to viewers who have only seen the films. There has been a decent amount left out of the past six movies that could confuse some people going into this film, but perhaps they will sort it out with a few lines of dialogue. This movie looks intense full of action, fast paced, and extremely well done; as the book was pretty much like reading a movie. Do you think the trailer could have revealed too much? I do, but as I have already read the book, I know what happens and am still very excited for this film.
Directed by David Yates, who has already helmed Order of the Phoenix and The Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 will be in theaters and IMAX, this November 19! Check out the full new trailer for Deathly Hallows Part 1 after the break along with over 150 screen captures from the trailer as well! Continue reading →
