Actor Tom Hiddleston is no stranger to wooing his fans into submission. In just a matter of minutes of browsing through Tumblr you’ll find an army of loyal Hiddlestonians pawing at his every movement. It’s a rather interesting fandom that has been created. And sure enough, Loki himself did not disappoint when he appeared at D23 Expo to promote The Pirate Fairy, yet another title in the incredibly popular Tinkerbell series. Watch the Marvel Cinematic Universe star sing “The Bare Necessities” from Disney’s The Jungle Book after the break.
That Tom Hiddleston is something, isn’t he kids? He voices and sings as James “Hook” in The Pirate Fairy. Now if only we could get a musical number in Thor: The Dark World. Speaking of which…
Now I don’t know much of anything about The Pirate Fairy because it’s a property that has just escaped me for some odd reason, but below you can find the B-Roll footage from the Marvel Studios presentation that occurred earlier this morning.
As you can see, Walt Disney Studios Chairman Alan Horn welcomes to the stage Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. As B-Roll implies, it’s not the complete presentation, but you get the sense of what was accomplished. Stars appeared from both Captain America: The Winter Solder and Thor: The Dark World, clips from both movies were shown, and fangirls freaked the f**k out. It was a crazy day in the arena in Anaheim.
Directed by Peggy Holmes, The Pirate Fairy stars the voices of Mae Whitman, Christina Hendricks, Tom Hiddleston, Lucy Liu, Raven-Symone, and Megan Hilty. The film will release next Spring 2014.
Directed by Alan Taylor, Thor: The Dark World stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Christopher Eccleston, Stellan Skarsgård, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Kat Dennings, Idris Elba, and Jamie Alexander. The film releases this November 8.
Directed by Anthony Russo and Joe Russo, Captain America: The Winter Soldier stars Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, and Robert Redford. The movie hits theaters on April 4, 2014.
