Zack Snyder Teases First Image of the Batmobile for ‘Batman vs. Superman’

Zack Snyder Teases Batmobile for 'Batman vs. Superman'

As production is set to begin for Batman vs. Superman, the follow up to Man of SteelZack Snyder thought it best to tease fans today with a little Tweet that revealed a part of the new Batmobile. With Ben Affleck taking up the cape and cowl, and essentially rebooting Batman again, what will go into his new ride? See the Batmobile teaser after the jump.

With the new DC cinematic universe shaping up, there is going to have to be a lot of world building will have to be made in order to fully flesh out this new Bruce Wayne/Batman. Bruce meeting Lucious Fox (Morgan Freeman) in Christopher Nolan’s series was a big plot point in Batman Beginsand assuming fans should just take the character at face value and move on without any kind of development would be like inserting Harry Osborn in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and transforming him into the Green Goblin immediately without fleshing him out. As I look at Zack’s Tweet I ask myself, what kind of accessories and features will this Batmobile consist of? Here’s Zack Snyder‘s Tweet:

From just looking at the back-end, I would relate this design similar to those of Tim Burton’s Batmobile and less of a boxy shape like Nolan’s Tumbler. It’s tough to say what kind of weaponry is on the outer hull obviously due to the tarp, so we’ll be excited to see the full reveal tomorrow – if he stays true to his Tweet. Hopefully Snyder will grant fans a little more taste of what’s to come than just the Batmobile. Many questions have been raised about this new Batsuit and how Affleck will look in it.

We also have Diana/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg), and more recently Victor Stone/Cyborg (Ray Fisher) to look forward to seeing in their costumes as well. I wonder if he’ll show the Invisible Jet too.

Batman vs. Superman is now set for May 6, 2016. The title is unofficial, and may change by then.
