Disney Infinity 2.0: Marvel Super Heroes (PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Windows, iOS) In Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes, players will use real-world interactive Marvel figures to activate original storylines (Play Sets) in the virtual game worlds of some of Marvel’s most popular franchises, including The Avengers. In the Play Sets – penned by award-winning Marvel comic writer Brian Michael Bendis – players will be able to take on the role of more than 20 Marvel characters including Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Thor, Hulk and Hawkeye to battle enemies, complete challenging missions, solve puzzles and ultimately save the world from destruction.

I watched the demo of this game on the Comic-Con show floor this year and it looked like a lot of fun for gamers of all ages. There are many new features, including the enhanced Toy Box mode that will introduce fun, new adventures and opportunities for players to customize using in-game characters. All of the Disney Infinity figures, toys, and power discs are compatible with the Marvel Super Heroes Toy Box, which makes for an easy transition. The starter pack includes:

  • 1 Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (2.0 Edition) Video Game
  • 3 Marvel Super Heroes Figures: Iron Man, Thor and Black Widow
  • 1 Disney Infinity Base (2.0 Edition)
  • 2 Toy Box Game Discs
  • 1 Marvel’s The Avengers Play Set piece
  • 1 Web Code Card

FIFA 15 (PS3, PS4, Vita, Xbox 360, Xbox 360, Xbox One, 3DS, Windows) Witness the intensity of crowds and listen to commentators guide fans through the story of the game with Dynamic Match Presentation. New Emotional Intelligence allows players to react to opponents and teammates within context, and relative to the narrative of the match. Next Generation Visuals put fans on Living Pitches with grass that wears as the match progresses. Authentic Player Visuals give players true to life appearance. Player Control heightens the responsiveness of player movement and makes Man-to-Man Battles more rewarding than ever before.

Soon kids will learn how to actually go outside and play soccer right? Here are some of the new features added to this year’s FIFA:

  • Emotional Intelligence – For the first time, FIFA 15 models the emotions of all 22 players on the pitch, giving fans a chance to experience first-hand the attitudes and personalities of the world’s best soccer players during a match.
  • Dynamic Match Presentation – Match Day will feel more dynamic and alive than ever before – immersing gamers in the match action and never leaving the moment.
  • Correct Contacts – Physically Correct Contacts revolutionizes the way the soccer interacts with the players and their environment.
  • Man-to-Man Battles – Dispossessing your opponent in FIFA 15 is more rewarding and physical than ever before. Players use Full-Body Defending to win possession and keep it.

Hyrule Warriors (Wii U; Available on September 26th) Cut down entire legions of enemies as Link, Zelda, Midna and other characters from The Legend of Zelda franchise using over-the-top powerful Dynasty Warriors-style moves. This tour de force through the beloved locales of Hyrule will have players battling some of the fiercest enemies in The Legend of Zelda history. Two players can play local co-op, with one player joining with the Wii U GamePad controller and another with the Wii U Pro Controller or Wii Remote + Nunchuk controllers (additional accessories are sold separately).

I love me some Legend of Zelda, but I have never played Dynasty Warriors. The game looks like an interesting departure from the classic Zelda gameplay, but I’m not sure if it will convert casual fans of the franchise. Hyrule Warriors has its appeal, but looks like it could get old very fast. Gameplay looks very spastic and full of button smashing, which isn’t the type of game I’m typically drawn to. The fact that you can play as someone other than Link and can roam the lands of Hyrule kicking ass and taking names is one of the coolest features that grabs my attention. I’m cautiously optimistic.
