Super Smash Bros 2014 Wii U

Video Games

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U (Available for the Wii U on November 21st) Mario! Link! Samus! Pikachu! All of your favorite Nintendo characters are back, along with plenty of new faces, in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, the next entry in the beloved Super Smash Bros. series. Up to four players can battle each other locally or online across beautifully designed stages inspired by classic Nintendo home console games. With a variety of control options and amiibo compatibility, the timeless Super Smash Bros. battles come alive.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for: a reason to buy the Wii U. From what I’ve seen, SSBWU is just as fun as entries past with more crazy characters and exciting new levels to smash. I always find joy in the campaign and training modes for these games, but I haven’t really seen anything for them to craft an opinion on them. And what will be interesting to see is if the Amiibo characters take off like Nintendo would like. Key features for this game includes:

  • New challengers includes Mega Man, Little Mac, Palutena, and more.
  • For the first time, players can even compete as their own Mii characters.
  • Use a variety of control methods during the high-energy and action-filled battles, including Nintendo GameCube controllers – the longtime controller of choice for hard-core Super Smash Bros. players.
  • Customize move sets when playing locally or online with friends.
  • Fight against friends and family locally or online, or battle random challengers from all over the world online in “For Fun” or “For Glory” modes.

Far Cry 4 (Available for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC) Hidden in the towering Himalayas lies Kyrat, a country steeped in tradition and violence. You are Ajay Ghale. Traveling to Kyrat to fulfill your mother’s dying wish, you find yourself caught up in a civil war to overthrow the oppressive regime of dictator Pagan Min. Explore and navigate this vast open world, where danger and unpredictability lurk around every corner. Here, every decision counts, and every second is a story. Welcome to Kyrat.

Far Cry 4 looks like a very ambitious first person shooter that holds nothing back based on the trailers. The world of Kyrat is absolutely gigantic, which will make for hours of discovery. If you’re a fan of the franchise or looking for a new FPS to dig into, I’d say this is a sure bet. Key features here includes:

  • Revolutionary Open World Co-op: Far Cry 4 allows for a second player to drop in and drop out at any point, re-imagining the cooperative experience in the true spirit of Far Cry for the next generation.
  • Massive Open World: With terrain spanning from lush forests to the snowcapped Himalayas, the entire world is alive…and deadly.
  • Abundant New Wildlife: From leopards, rhinos, black eagles, and vicious honey badgers, as you embark on your hunt for resources, know that something may be hunting you…
  • New Ways to Get Around: Scout enemy territory from above in the all-new gyrocopter and then plummet back to earth in your wing suit. Climb aboard the back of a six-ton elephant and unleash its raw power on your enemies.
  • Powerful New Weapons: Choose the right weapon for the job, no matter how insane or unpredictable that job might be.

LittleBigPlanet 3 (Available for PS3 and PS4) Sackboy is back and he’s brought along new friends! PlayStation’s most imaginative franchise, LittleBigPlanet, is back with a new cast of playable plush characters in the biggest handcrafted adventure yet!

I’d say this looks like a really great party game with friends. Key features includes:

  • Three all-new hand-stitched heroes will completely change the way you play: OddSock! Swoop! And Toggle! Each fully customizable with plenty of quirky new costumes to collect.
  • Sackboy has been equipped with an all-new climbing ability and loads of brand-new power-ups including the amazing Pumpinator!

As someone who has never played a Dragon Age game before, Inquisition looks pretty cool. Key features here includes:
