October is right around the corner and Pumpkin Nights is expanding to four different cities across the U.S. What started off as a small activation at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in 2016 has now grown beyond its roots to bring its spoopy festivities to jack-o-lantern enthusiasts in Los Angeles, Denver, Salt Lake City, and Auburn, CA. See the full details for the illuminating event after the break.
With a mission to showcase local artists and celebrate the most magical time of year without the spooks and scares, this month-long celebration includes a half-mile walking path (wheelchair/stroller accessible) that features the Forbidden Pumpkin City, a pirate’s cove, and more fantastical lands built using over 3,000 hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. Most of the pumpkins are artificial to avoid rotting, but the spectacle of the large sculptures is impressive and a sight to behold in person. On some evenings, guests may be lucky enough to see local artists carving into a giant pumpkin during the event.
Not only does Pumpkin Nights include many visual treats for the eyes with eight different pumpkin-themed lands, there will also be games, food and more entertainment for groups of friends and families alike. Additionally, there’s a Spirit of Pumpkins fire show, movie screenings, food trucks, and each city has a unique line up of vendors and entertainers that are sure to wow; the calendar on each city page will show more details as to what will be offered each night.
