Not only has a new creepy teaser image/poster for American Horror Story appeared, but a brand new trailer full of actual footage has also been released and my anticipation couldn’t be any greater than it already is. The craving I have for good horror will hopefully be fulfilled this October 5 when the premiere episode of AHS finally airs on FX. Not only do I love horror, but what Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have already done with their previous creations, Nip/Tuck and Glee, only strengthens my trust in this program. Most advertising and commercials are pushed aside and never thought of again, but every once in a while you will come across a diamond in the rough that is completely unforgettable. Sometimes it is just the simplest ideas that take off and springboard conversation at your next water cooler visit. It is commercials like these that put trust in my decision to pursue a life in this industry. If I could create one unforgettable commercial like this than I know I have fulfilled my dreams. The first footage of Darren Lynn Bousman’s (Saw) Mother’s Day was recently shown in an unofficial trailer. This is a remake of the 1980 Troma original that has since taken on a new reimagining of the horror/thriller. Mother’s Day stars AJ Cook, Alexa Vega, Briana Evigan, Darren Lynn Bousman, Deborah Ann Woll, J. LaRose, Jaime King, Lisa Marcos, Lyriq Bent, Matt O’Leary, Patrick Flueger, Rebecca De Mornay, Shawn Ashmore, and Warren Kole. This film was suppose to release last year, but due to complicated issues it is now going to be finally released on April 1. Check out the trailer after the break!
Those lovely ladies from Team Unicorn (Rileah Vanderbilt, Michele Boyd, Milynn Sarley, Clare Grant) are back and ready to spread holiday cheer! Team Unicorn’s second debut video has a little over three-quarters of a million views, a little slower recognition than their first video, ‘Geek and Gamer Girls,’ but still a quality video. The long awaited remake of the Troma cult classic, Mother’s Day, has been given a release date after premiering at Fantastic Fest earlier this year. Gigapex Studio picked up the film so mark your calendars for April 1, 2011 [Via BD and STYD]. Director Darren Lynn Bousman is no new face to horror as he helmed Saw II, III, and IV. Appearing in this film are Jaime King, Deborah Ann Woll, Briana Evigan, Alexa Vega, Shawn Ashmore, Matt O’Leary, Lyriq Bent, Lisa Marcos, Patrick Flueger, AJ Cook, J. LaRose, Warren Kole, and Rebecca De Mornay.
Before you go see Saw 3D this weekend you need to rewatch all the movies, but if you don’t have all the time in the world, check out this 7 minute summary video catching you up with Saw I-VI. Of course you can’t go see Saw 3D without revisiting every death in the movie franchise. The body count isn’t as high as you would think, but it gets pretty gruesome. Be warned, this obviously holds many spoilers through Saw I-VI and it is very graphic so hide your kids, hide your wives. But this is some good ole wholseome Saw death fun! Thanks Moviefone!
