2012: It's A Disaster

I love attempts at taking movie trailers and redubbing them with different music that totally swings the trailer into a new direction. This is a perfect example of that said redub. Here is Roland Emmerich’s 2012 with a 80’s porn/grindhouse feel?

It Has Begun……

mortal_kombat1

Just as I predicted (I might not have stated it on here), but as the buy out by Warner Bros. on the Mortal Kombat franchise from Midway, there is another Mortal Kombat movie in the works. A sequel or a remake is unknown, but after MK: Annihilation there was to be a third that never happened due to budget and how bad Annihilation did. With Warner Bros. backing this possible third movie, skies the limit. From FirstShowing, there was a report that Scorpion (Chris Casamassa) from the first two movies was gearing up to start shooting the new movie in September.  This could all be bull-puckey, but could this beloved franchise rise from the dead and fight in Mortal Kombat one more time? Finish Him………

I Wanna Play A Different Game?

the collector

I present to you a really messed up looking movie called The Collector from the writers of Saw 4, 5 and 6. The red band trailer was released by IGN.com today and looks like it could be promising. It is about an ex-con pays a visit to his new employers home unaware that someone else has paid a visit before him. The house is set up with traps and the theif must try to survive while possibly saving the family. This little horror flick comes out july 31st. You can check out the trailer below and I’ll be sure to check it out when it comes to theaters.

Cobra Commander Revealed

Cobra Commander or no Cobra Commander, this new Japanese trailer for G.I. Joe with the Commander still gives it no justice. There is no way this movie could possibly be any good. It looks pretty corny aka excellerator suits, come on. This reminds me of the Street Fighter movie from the 90s though, which I did enjoy, but this is G.I. Joe. I think they could have thought of a different plot somewhere within all the various cartoons and characters they have in their arsenal. I’m sure tons of people will go see this, but will they think it will be good, probably not.

Ong-Bak 2: More Bak for Your Buck?

ong-bak-2-hong-kong-poster

A French trailer release for Ong-Bak 2 has been revealed. Tony Jaa reprises the role and looks up to par to kick all kinds of ass in this action packed kung  fu in elbow to your dome film. From elephants to fighting crocodiles this movie has it all. I think Tony Jaa could knock out a shark if he really wanted to. To check out the trailer go right herrrreeeee: Ong-Bak 2 trailer

Major League: Back to the Sequels

bob uecker

Bob Uecker sang the 7th inning stretch at Wrigley Field this weekend. He spoke at the Cubs game of a Major League 4 in the works. The original was from 1989, as Uecker was the game commentator. I doubt this will be some kind of reboot or come back, but who knows? It’s not that interesting to me, but it could be to youuuuuuuuu………

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Rumors

Indiana Jones

More and more rumors are popping up about Indy 5 and The Insider has one more to throw into the mix. They are saying that the 67 year old Harrison Ford is set to play Indy once more in a 2011 release. As they say in their site, “it is claimed,” so they are just a bunch of silly people with lies and false hope for Indy fans. Insider also claims no sources and pulled this out of thin air from what it appears; they must be magicians.

Man Eating Demon Whore

megan fox

The Jennifer’s Body red band trailer has officially been released from 20th Century Fox and STYD has the first look. It appears as though this movie maybe ok, if you can get past Megan Fox’s wonderful acting and cliché role she plays in every movie she’s in.

The story revolves around Jennifer (Megan Fox) who is possessed by a demon and who starts snacking on all the boys in her high school. This horror/comedy seems a bit different and is rated R, but it looks little too corny, especially with that Diablo Cody dialogue. This film also stars Amanda Seyfried and opens in theaters September 18th. You can check out the trailer here: Jennifer’s Body Trailer

Alice In Wonderland Character Pictures

alicemagtop

Wooo more Alice in Wonderland character photos have been released by Planeta Disney. Shown are Alice (Mia Wasikowska), the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) and The Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter).

This story is more of a sequel and follows Alice, 17 years old, as she escapes from rich snob party and follows the white rabbit down the rabbit hole, back to Wonderland. The White Rabbit is convinced that he has the right girl, the one who had visited the magical land ten years prior.  Alice doesn’t remember her past visit to Wonderland. The creatures of Wonderland are ready to revolt and are hoping Alice can help them.

Box Office Battlefield: ‘Ice Age 3: Dawn of the Dinosaurs’ and ‘Public Enemies’

battle field

Here we go with the weekend of July 1-5:

Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (Ray Romano – Dennis Leary) This film is already having its ups and downs with the box office as it defeated Revenge of the Fallen its first day and fell short on Thursday. This film doesn’t really interest me, but looks like it could have certain potential. It doesn’t look look like it has too much recycled story or bland humor, but kind of corny. I already heard they are thinking of a fourth one. I not getting my hopes up any time soon.

Public Enemies (Johnny Depp – Christian Bale) I was looking forward to this movie, but it doesn’t seem like it has been getting much hype after its’ release. I’ll have to go see it just to get my own opinion, but I am not rushing to go see it. It looks like just another star driven movie to boost its potential for a weak plot. It looks like it could be kind of boring, but has a slight edge with people who are into gangsters and mobs.

Until next Friday………Brüno, I Love You, Beth Cooper and Blood: The Last Vampire
