Auditions for being part of the infamous Foot Clan from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is going to get underway. These auditions will be part of the 25th anniversary “Shell-ebration.” Around April, it was announced that they will be doing another live action turtles movie. This new TMNT flick will surface around 2011 and will focus around Shredder and the Foot as a “Batman Begins” style reboot. Co-creator Peter Laird seems to be a part of this little revamp of this beloved franchise. Thanks /FILM.

Jennifer's Body Goes Green

The green band trailer for Jennifer’s Body arose from the depths of wherever it came from and you can watch it here. It has more footage and shows the soundtrack artists. With artists like Dashboard Confessional, Panic! At the Disco, Cobra Starship, and All Time Low, this is looking to be a very teeny horror comedy. This brand of the trailer will appear with Brüno supposedly.

Faster Than a Speeding Lawsuit?

So it appears that we will be getting another Superman movie sooner than we thought. Warner Bros. and DC Comics went against the heirs of the creators of the man of steel, Jerome Siegel. There was some legal issue with money of Smallville and some “sweetheart” rights and other legal mumbo jumbo, but it would go in favor of WB and DC against their plantiffs.

“The Court pointedly ruled that if Warner Bros. does not start production on another Superman film by 2011, the Siegels will be able to sue to recover their damages,” attorney Toberoff added. “The Siegels look forward to the remainder of the case, which will determine how much defendants owe them for their exploitations of Superman.”

Comedy Central Uses Some Sweet Skills

Comedy Central has ordered up some Jon Heder for a new comedy sitcom. It will be about Heder coming from the big city working in an IT office to back home with his parents in a small town. Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Chris Henchy will be writing the series and will be distributed by Debmar-Mercury. They want to deliver 10 episodes and see where they go from there; most likely a flop. How far will this show go? Maybe a foot into the water, but will get frightened easily. Comedy Central, please just tell Matt Stone and Trey Parker to just create non stop episodes of South Park and we’ll be happy.

Happy Birthday PG-13

July 1st marked the 25th birthday of the PG-13 rating. This sparked due to the big gap inbetween the PG and R ratings. Movies such as Gremlins and Poltergeist were both rated PG and it was suggest by Spielberg to fill this gap between PG and R. Just think of the ratings these days with comedies such as Pineapple Express, Tropic Thunder and Knocked Up paving the way for more adult R comedies. Olivia Munn Becomes Part of the Greek System

Variety reports that the Queen of Nerds, Olivia Munn, will partake in this upcoming season of Greek, which will air this August. She will be one of the leads love interests, which I am guessing is going to be either Cappie or Evan since Rusty and Dale both have girlfriends and Calvin is gay. So who knows, will Casey chase after Cappie, will Evan and Cappie be in another love triangle with miss Munn. Well you’ll have to watch and see what happens in the season 3 of Greek………

All hopes for Judd Apatow are fulfilled as the Funny People red band trailer has been released on Myspace. Woot woot. After tanking from writing Pineapple Express (I thought it was decent), Walk Hard, and You Don’t Mess with the Zohan, but being his third directed film, Apatow is redeeming himself by coming out with this movie. This trailer is hilarious and you should laugh and eventually go see this movie when it comes out July 31st. WATCH THIS TRAILER

Hey look, an interview video of Harold Ramis on Ghostbusters 3. This little video was shown on /Film just minutes ago and has some interesting tidbits. He talks about how the old effects will be updated to the new computer world, making it look low-tech, the draft of Ghostbusters in Hell script, how Ghostbusters 3 is developing, and the danger of making sequels.
