It has finally arrived, the District 9 trailer. This totally took me in a different direction for this film when I saw this. I thought it was going to be a a more bland story, not the action sci-fi thriller it actually is. Neil Blomkamp’s story looks great and Peter Jackson has visually turned this into a great looking film. The story actually looks like something out of a videogame. The story is about aliens who have landed in Johannesburg 28 years ago. The Multi-National United  has blocked off a certain district just for the new alien refugees who just want to go home. But something has occured that place fear on the humans and they need to get to the bottom of this mystery, what are the aliens up to? This film comes out August 14th and the trailer is located below. I will try and get some movie stills when an HD version appears.

Watchmen Deleted Beat Down

A preview of a Watchmen deleted scene for the director’s cut, which comes out in two weeks, has surfaced which shows the attack of Hollis Mason in more detail from the graphic novel. It’s pretty good and I can’t wait til the director’s cut DVD comes out. This version of the film will be about three hours long when it is released. This little deleted scene appeared on Topless Robot. WATCH IT.

The Details Before Spider-Man 4

Mr. Maguire will be pulling a little comedy movie, The Details, out of his bag of tricks before he takes on the role of Peter Parker one more time. He will be along side Elizabeth Banks as a struggling married couple. This film also stars Ray Liotta, Anne Friel, Laura Linney, and Dennis Haysbert. Directed by Jacob Estes says “Maguire’s character is an everyman in the sense that he is composed of a morally ambiguous core. He has good intentions, but he makes a lot of self-destructive mistakes.” Thanks Variety.

I love attempts at taking movie trailers and redubbing them with different music that totally swings the trailer into a new direction. This is a perfect example of that said redub. Here is Roland Emmerich’s 2012 with a 80’s porn/grindhouse feel?

It Has Begun……

Just as I predicted (I might not have stated it on here), but as the buy out by Warner Bros. on the Mortal Kombat franchise from Midway, there is another Mortal Kombat movie in the works. A sequel or a remake is unknown, but after MK: Annihilation there was to be a third that never happened due to budget and how bad Annihilation did. With Warner Bros. backing this possible third movie, skies the limit. From FirstShowing, there was a report that Scorpion (Chris Casamassa) from the first two movies was gearing up to start shooting the new movie in September.  This could all be bull-puckey, but could this beloved franchise rise from the dead and fight in Mortal Kombat one more time? Finish Him………

Mr. Prime guest appeared on the Late Night With David Letterman show and did the Top 10 List. It was pretty funny and I suggest you watch it. Who wouldn’t want to hear the leader of the Autobots speak some crazy phrases. The number one phrase you’d like to hear a robot say is pretty good.

I present to you a really messed up looking movie called The Collector from the writers of Saw 4, 5 and 6. The red band trailer was released by IGN.com today and looks like it could be promising. It is about an ex-con pays a visit to his new employers home unaware that someone else has paid a visit before him. The house is set up with traps and the theif must try to survive while possibly saving the family. This little horror flick comes out july 31st.
