The Bayformers Are Done! (Updated)

MICHAEL BAY BOOM

TotalFilm has reported that the Baydomonium is over! He has thrown in the towel and will not be doing Transformers 3. The little guy must be a little upset because he claims, “They (the critics) review me before they’ve even seen the movie.” Poor Mr. Bay, maybe we’ll get a Transformers movie that sticks to plot and has a good/real Transformers story. We can finally leave the plot holes, robot testies, robots peeing, retardobots, car commercial filming and whack stories behind us as this marks a tremendous day in history. I’m sure the geewhuners are rioting in the streets in celebration and harmony.……

Update, unfortunately Mr. Bay responds back on his website saying, “Hah, love press how they spin. Never said it – just wanted a vacation is more to the point. And no I don’t read the good or the bad reviews.”

I’ve Seen Revenge of the Fallen

So it’s been obvious, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen has been coming for the past month; the television spots are everywhere. This film has the coolest visual elements, effects, and explosions galore. The thing is, has anyone in their marketing, or whoever works with TV, thought about how to market the movie? Seriously, I feel like I’ve practically seen the whole movie with each TV spot leaving not clip unturned. Leave us some mystery, the reason why people want to see movies is because it sparks interest and they want more. All these TV spots leave nothing to the imagination and why would people want to go see a movie where they show the whole thing in the commercials? What’s wrong with people? Below are the various, almost 19 TV spots, that I could find. More after the jump………

Fandangwowzers, ‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’ 45% Of Sales

primme 4

Revenge of the Fallen is outselling Star Trek fast on Fandango. With 45% of sales on Fandango going to ROTF, this mega hit is producing steam and not stopping. This will definitely be a huge hit, not so much a good movie……, but it will definitely pay the bills. I predict that this little robot flick will be the highest grossing movie of the summer.

Fandango has surveyed nearly 2,000 moviegoers planning to see Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Among the findings:

* 88% of respondents said they are fans of director Michael Bay; 66% of them picked Transformers as their favorite Bay film.
* 77% of respondents say they were fans of Transformers when they were kids; 68% of those fans watched the cartoon series, while 61% played with the toys.
* 45% picked Optimus Prime as their favorite Transformer; 21% picked Bumblebee; 4% picked Megatron.
* 62% of respondents are 18-34 years old; 63% are male.

First Transformers: Rolling on the Floor, Reviews

bitch slapped

So the Brits got to see the first full finished version, unlike in Japan where they got about a 98.9% version, and they are coming out with the first reviews for it. As to be expected, which I didn’t expect much other than nonsense of explosions, plot holes and lack of story. Meh, oh well, I’m sure it will make a bajillion dollars anyways and Michael Bau will be laughing to the bank along with cronies Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Here are just a few exerpts of what some critics said and you can click on their sites to read the full reviews. Reviews after the jump:
