Over the past five years of convention going, I have noticed that some cosplayers are catching onto my request for out-of-character or derpy poses – see WonderCon 2016 or Comic-Con 2015. Being my first venture into the world of Anime Expo, I wasn’t sure the kind of reaction I would get with this request. I should have known better as anime imbues many kawaii or goofy moments. Cosplayers were more than game to come up with some amazing, less serious poses, and I discovered fans really love dabbing and bending down and praying to the booty. Thank you to everyone who cut loose and had a little fun with their characters!
