The first teaser trailers have begun to promote the seventh and final season premiere of AMC’s Mad Men. We find our characters in all areas of an undisclosed airport, bright eyed and full of that Mad Men swagger. Season 7 is so close you can taste it. Check out all of the trailers after the break.
Previously we’ve seen various character portraits and the teaser poster. Playing to the tune of Alice Russell’s “Breakdown” featuring Darondo, these short character promos give us provide an interesting snapshot of where the final season is headed.
At the end of season 6, there were many questions relating to Don’s future left unanswered. By the looks of things, it appears he may have found his destination with that confidence we have seen over the last six seasons.
Here’s the first teaser that premiered featuring Don Draper:
A longer teaser trailer has also aired, showcasing more of the cast, including Betty, Megan, Pete, Roger, and Peggy. Each of the characters are shown hanging around an airport, either arriving via taxi to the airport, at baggage claim, checking in, or waiting for their ride.
Another character teaser has been uploaded to AMC’s YouTube (where you can find all of these videos), this time it is Joan in the spotlight getting off of a plane.
[UPDATE 1] Roger Sterling has gained his own character teaser, a longer version of what was shown in the above teaser with all of the characters.
[UPDATE 2] Megan Draper has now been given her own character teaser too. From a different angle, the lovely Jessica Paré is seen exiting a cab. Where is she coming from? Where is she going?
[Update 3] And now we have Ms. Peggy Olson picking up her luggage at baggage claim.
It piques my interest why all of these characters are at the airport. There is always a method to Matthew Weiner’s beautiful madness and we can only wait and see what it all means.
Created by Matthew Weiner, Mad Men stars Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks, Elisabeth Moss, Jessica Paré, John Slatterly, Vincent Kartheiser, Ben Feldman, January Jones, and Robert Morse.
Mad Men‘s final season begins Sunday, April 13 at 10/9 PM CST only on AMC.
