Watch Disney’s ‘Tomorrowland’ Teaser Go Beyond Time and Space (36 Screenshots)

Disney's Tomorrowland NYCC 2014 Teaser Trailer

Unveiled today was the first teaser trailer for Tomorrowland at this year’s New York Comic-Con. Starring George Clooney and Britt Robertson, Tomorrowland will bring Walt Disney fans to a new world beyond space and time. One of 2015’s most anticipated films, check out the first look along with 36 hi-resolution screenshots after the break.

Although little is revealed about the actual story, this playful teaser trailer is the right ticket to color me curious. I didn’t care much for the D23 Expo teaser appearance last year, but I find the pin transportation device to be quite amusing. From what we see of “Tomorrowland” itself is minimal, but has a cool presence about it.

I think Britt Robertson is a unique and bold choice for the lead role. I haven’t seen her performance in Under the Dome, but check out The First Time starring Robertson and Dylan O’Brien, it’s a great teen romance dramedy, which really shows off the duo’s acting chops. And George Clooney delivers a nice monologue as George Clooney does:

“What if there was a place, a secret place where nothing was impossible? A miraculous place where you could actually change the world. You wanna go?”

Written by Damon Lindelof (Lost; Prometheus; Star Trek Into Darkness), Brad Bird (Ratatouille; The Incredibles), and newcomer Jeff Jensen, I’m a little cautiously optimistic. Lindelof has proven he is a very inconsistent writer, while Brad Bird has done some stellar work for Pixar. I heard Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, Bird’s first live action film, wasn’t too shabby. And who knows how much Jensen contributed. Since it is Bird directing and not Lindelof, thankfully, this film should be in capable hands.

Directed by Brad Bird, Tomorrowland stars George Clooney, Hugh Laurie, Britt Robertson, Raffey Cassidy, Tim McGraw, Judy Greer, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, and Thomas Robinson.
