Star Wars fans in Southern California can rejoice because ‘Star Wars Celebration’ will be coming to the Anaheim Convention Center on April 16-19, 2015. This one of a kind touring convention aims to bring Star Wars fans the ultimate experience to live out their wildest dreams. Read more about the festivities after the jump.
Since 2007, the Star Wars Celebration has taken taken place in various cities across the U.S., Japan, and Europe in the past. Much like a Comic-Con or D23 Expo, Star Wars Celebration is a convention experience that centers solely around all things Star Wars; from vendors to actors. LucasFilm even commissioned a poster in the LA Times in anticipation of the event.

Surprisingly, the poster does not include Luke Skywalker, at all, and instead puts Han Solo in the forefront with Darth Vader and Princess Leia in tow. Because these are the characters featured in Celebration’s promotional materials and are integral to the plot of the upcoming Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens, there is a strong probability that there will be some mention of the highly anticipated film. However, there are currently no confirmations of any panels or guest appearances that will address the new J.J. Abrams directed film, although it’s still a possibility.
Some of the guests that will be in attendance at Celebration are James Arnold Taylor, the voice of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars: The Clone Wars; David Collins, the voice of Han Solo in Star Wars: Honor Among Thieves; and Steve Sansweet, head of the nonprofit museum Rancho Obi-Wan, which is home to all kinds of Star Wars memorabilia. More guests will be announced as the date approaches.
