This time the Batmobile did not lose a wheel because it is kicking ass and taking names in this all new trailer for Batman: Arkham Knight. Releasing Part 2 of a three-part trailer, Rocksteady Studios is revving up the anticipation for gamers to get their chance to storm the streets of Gotham City in one of the most iconic rides in all of geekdom. Watch the trailer after the break.
Pretty tactile for a large hunk of metal. We saw bits and pieces of gameplay action with the Batmobile in Part 1 of the Ace Chemicals Infiltration trailer last week. This, obviously, is more of a cinematic. I don’t know why, but I don’t find this to be too visually appealing.
When the Batmobile slows down and we’re able to differentiate it from the other shapes and dark backgrounds it looks great. But otherwise the Batmobile blends way too much into the environment. The first trailer looked great because it was more well-lit and there were more whites and colors. Here it’s just a bunch of blacks and greys with hints of red and some white mist and rain.
I think being able to play the Batmobile will be a lot of fun, but this trailer doesn’t give it much justice.
What will Part 3 be about? We’ll have to wait until December 6 to find out. My guess is that we’ll finally learn a bit more about the Arkham Knight himself.
