Now Available to Own: Cowboy Bebop, The Maze Runner, Arrested Development, and More

Television on Blu-Ray

Cowboy Bebop: The Complete Series (Hajime Yatate) Rated TV-MA [24 min] –  The futuristic misadventures and tragedies of an easygoing bounty hunter and his partners. Starring Kôichi Yamadera, Unshô Ishizuka, Megumi Hayashibara

From the action to the music to the characters to the environments to the art to the themes, Cowboy Bebop is everything. Sure I’m fanboying harder than a tween girl looked upon by the good graces of Nathan Fillion, but honestly Cowboy Bebop is one of the most spectacular anime series of all time. Sadly the exclusive limited editions from Funimation and Amazon are no longer available, but the regular Blu-ray edition has all of these special features:

  • Dinner Aboard the Bebop: A brand new 68-minute BD exclusive
  • Memo from Bebop: The Dub Sessions Remembered
  • Audio Commentaries
  • Interview with Wendee Lee (English Voice of Faye Valentine)
  • Interview with Cartoon Network Producer Sean Akins
  • “Tank!” Full-Size Music Clip
  • “Tank!” Club Remix Music Clip (UK Version)
  • Original Opening and Closing Songs
  • Textless Opening and Closing Songs
  • Ein’s Summer Vacation
  • Cowboy Bebop Session #0
  • U.S. Trailer

Arrested Development: The Complete Fourth Season (Mitchell Hurwitz) Rated TV-PG [22 min] – Level-headed son Michael Bluth takes over family affairs after his father is imprisoned. But the rest of his spoiled, dysfunctional family are making his job unbearable. Starring Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Portia de Rossi, Alia Shakat, Will Arnett, Tony Hale, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, and Ron Howard

This show is pure magic. Now it’s not one you can just jump into, especially the fourth season, but if you give it some time, start from the beginning and add a little patience, this series rewards you like no other comedy series on TV. I liked the fourth season more than most, but if you aren’t so sure on it, you can always check it out on Netflix right now. Special features included are:

  • The History of Arrested Development
  • Being Back on Arrested
  • Working with Two Directors
  • The Writing and the Scripts
  • Working with Mitch
  • Production Design
  • Script Department
  • Buster Smoking
  • Fantastic 4
  • In Character
