The first trailer for Cameron Crowe’s latest, Aloha, made its debut today. It totes a star-studded cast of varying generations, including Bradley Cooper, Emma Stone, Rachel McAdams, Alec Baldwin, and Bill Murray. As the title implies, moviegoers will be whisked away to the far away land of Hawaii where romantic hijinks will ensue and life lessons will be learned. Watch the the trailer for Aloha and find over 100 screenshots from the film after the jump.
Regardless of its awesome cast, that also included Danny McBride and John Krasinski, Aloha looks pretty vanilla. All the tropes of your a-typical romantic dramedy are here. But with the man behind such great films as Jerry Maguire, Say Anything, and Fast Times at Ridgemont High, what is Cameron Crowe trying to say about these people? That is the journey that will make or break this film.
‘We Bought a Zoo’ is pretty underwhelming and so has been many of Crowe’s other recent works since 2000’s Almost Famous. Can the filmmaker steal our hearts again or will this just be another average first world, white people problem story?
