ROTF, Too Hot For Kitchen

Yet another clip from Revenge of the Fallen. Just a couple more clips and we can piece them together to create the whole movie! Although this scene is kinda cool, it still is past the point that they are showing way too much of the movie. DUMB DUMB DUMB.

Happy Early Father's Day……

Picture 1

A trailer for Robin Williams’ new comedy, World’s Greatest Dad, just appeared and looks kinda funny. This dark comedy was shown during the ’09 Sundance Film Festival. The story reminds me of American Beauty with a dash of the Weatherman. Robin Williams looks like he puts on a good performance as he struggles through everyday life; you could actually feel for the character. Take a look a trailer by clicking on the title.

Box Office Battlefield: Dead Snow, The Proposal, and Year One

battle field

Movies of the weekend who are battling it out for supremacy and your money of June June 19-21

Year One (Jack Black, Michael Cera, Olivia Wilde) Although I love Harold Ramis’ work, Groundhog Day and Ghostbusters, This doesn’t seem like a typical Ramis movie. It just looks like a typical cheesey overdramatic performance by Black. I am not a Jack Black fan and he just seems to overpower the screen with his yelling and immature humor. Michael Cera seems to be the only thing keeping this movie together and from falling apart. The movie will do well regardless, but will most likely struggle with Transformers coming out next weekend and all the WOM (word-of-mouth advertising). This movie is a rental for sure or maybe even a TBS comedy.

The Proposal (Sandra Bullock, Ryan Reynolds, Betty White) This romantic comedy is sure to bring the ladies into theaters since Ryan Reynolds is a ladykiller and more purposely the only one saving this movie from disaster; is there a theme for the weekend? It’s not that I don’t like Sandra Bullock, I think she is a decent actor, but I just think the story is kind of weak. It looks like a funny rom/com, but it’s nothing short of cliché and predictable as this sort of movie can be. Take a date to this movie, especially if she is Canadian, maybe you’ll get lucky. But this movie isn’t anything special, but if you’re really bored you might as well go see ‘The Proposal.’

Dead Snow (Jeppe Laursen, Charlotte Frogner, Jenny Skavlan) Zombie Nazi’s in Germany, that pretty much just sums up this foreign horror/comedy. From the trailer, it’s obviously this movie wasn’t trying to be serious, but wouldn’t hurt to take a gander at this retardo story zombie flick.

Scream No More Sid……

Scream 4 Fake

According to a source that got sources from other soucrces whose myspace said that they saw something on  someone’s facebook who tweeted on twitter said………Screenwriter Kevin Williamson is now in a rut as he tweeted, “Trying to figure out a Sid-less scenario. She won’t do it. This sucks.” So apparently Neve Campbell is no longer part of the Scream 4, although Craven only led to the assumption that Campbell would just be in a small cameo anywho. But we’ll see where this interesting little twist on Scream 4 leads to now since Sidney will not be returning.

I'll Take a Soul on the Rocks Please…

A new trailer for Paul Giamatti’s new film, ‘Cold Souls’ and plays a character named……drum roll……Paul Giamatti. He is feeling a bit down on his life and finds an article to remove the soul, so why not? Unfortunately, things did not turn out the way he hoped they would. So Mr. Giamatti goes to get his soul back for a refund, but unfortunately for him they have lost it. The hunt is on for Paul to go find his soul wherever it may be. This little indy flick looks like it could be a little slice of life that could be fun to watch. It premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and hopefully it will make it to theaters soon.
