Sometimes you watch a movie trailer and you just can’t even. The latest reveal for the upcoming disaster flick, San Andreas, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, has my eyes rolling faster than Snoop Dogg on 4/20. Since the first trailer had just one line of dialogue given by Paul Giamatti, this new footage brings a little more context as to what we can expect from the film, which looks pretty much like your standard cataclysmic event movie. Check out the trailer for San Andreas as well as screenshots from the film after the break. Continue reading

Movie Review: ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ is a Bloated Mess with Great Action

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Teaser Trailer Spidey Suit

No director is perfect. Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, Tim Burton, and Martin Scorsese have had their bad days. But when I look at The Amazing Spider-Man 2, I am befuddled by the idea that Marc Webb is the man who directed one of my favorite movies of all time, (500) Days of Summer. Plugging in too many wacky, unconvincing villains while juggling many big ideas with little-to-no payoff, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 can sadly be put on the same playing level as Joel Schumacher’s Batman films. There’s nothing more magical than Disney. Sorry J.K. Rowling, but it’s true. I'll Take a Soul on the Rocks Please…

A new trailer for Paul Giamatti’s new film, ‘Cold Souls’ and plays a character named……drum roll……Paul Giamatti. He is feeling a bit down on his life and finds an article to remove the soul, so why not? Unfortunately, things did not turn out the way he hoped they would. So Mr. Giamatti goes to get his soul back for a refund, but unfortunately for him they have lost it. The hunt is on for Paul to go find his soul wherever it may be. This little indy flick looks like it could be a little slice of life that could be fun to watch. It premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and hopefully it will make it to theaters soon.
