Wah wah, /Film reports Sean Penn backs out of ‘The Three Stooges’ movie, directed by the Farrelly Brothers, with Benecio Del Toro (Moe) and Jim Carrey (Curly). Sean Penn has also backed out of his other movie ‘Cartel.’ Reasons being is that Penn wants to focus on his family.
This new horror movie, ‘The Stepfather,’ looks kind of promising, but yet again another horror remake from 1987. I like Dylan Walsh (Nip/Tuck) and this movie has good thriller elements, but it’s nothing special. This trailer reminds me of hints of ‘The Uninvited’ meets ‘Disturbia.’ The title itself is self-explanatory of the plot, family broken up, stepfather is introduced, and things go wrong. I think this just proves that divorce can turn out to be deathly wrong (sorry)………This movie comes out October 16, the same weekend as ‘Where the Wild Things Are.’ I think someone is not going to make that much money and I’m not talking about WTWTA.

“Re-Do” the movie within the movie ‘Funny People’ that stars Justin Long and Adam Sandler. Looks like this will be one of the many movies of George Simmons (Sandler) past work of his famous movie career as a comedian. This movie comes out July 31st.

Revenge of the Fallen is outselling Star Trek fast on Fandango. With 45% of sales on Fandango going to ROTF, this mega hit is producing steam and not stopping. This will definitely be a huge hit, not so much a good movie……, but it will definitely pay the bills. I predict that this little robot flick will be the highest grossing movie of the summer.

* 88% of respondents said they are fans of director Michael Bay; 66% of them picked Transformers as their favorite Bay film.
* 77% of respondents say they were fans of Transformers when they were kids; 68% of those fans watched the cartoon series, while 61% played with the toys.
* 45% picked Optimus Prime as their favorite Transformer; 21% picked Bumblebee; 4% picked Megatron.
* 62% of respondents are 18-34 years old; 63% are male.

The movie is about a woman who is pregnant, but the baby dies inside her. She wants to keep and give birth to the baby at term and some how it magically lives again, but something is different……
