This morning, The Muppets released a high definition viral parody of Queen’s classic song “Bohemian Rhapsody“. The video, which features over 40 Muppet characters, coincides with the release of Queen’s new album. It is not a complete cover but covers the basics and it’s very classy. It is pretty funny and you should probably watch it. The video is after the jump:

Continuing to Build My Film Palette

Yet again I have once again spent my time to build up my film palette by trying to watch 100 films I have never seen before within 100 days. I originally began this adventure goal this Summer with trying to do the exact same thing, which I completed in 93 days. You can check out the first successful attempt right here.
As for this second time around, I finished in 92 days. I some how also managed to have time to watch all three seasons of Mad Men and during October I tend to watch a horror movie once a day. So I also have spent my time watching old movies that I have seen before.
This time around I tried watching classics, but also tried to keep up to date with current films out there and branch out to more independent films as well. As you may see in the list I added dates to note my progress and I started off very very slowly with only have watched 32 films in the first 46 days. But as you can tell the next 46 days, leading up to the finish, I had been able to finish my goal and watch an astonishing 68 films within that time. I can’t really explain how I was able to do it, especially with having to work, but I did it. It is practically 1.5 movies in the second half.
You can see all the movies on my 100 films within 100 days after the jump!

Originality Is Hard To Come By These Days

Only 2 of the top 30 highest grossing films of this decade are original, did ya know that? Slash Film has compiled the list of the top grossing films and figured that most are not original stories. Most are based on a past film or tv show (remake/sequel), or an adaptation of an established property (be it a comic, book, play, toy…etc).

Final Alice in Wonderland Tri Poster
The final poster for the tri-theatrical banner posters for Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland have been surfaced and here it is.
Of course, these images already leaked and were posted on /Film over the weekend, found in a scan of an AMC Theaters promotional magazine. Here is the original AMC scan we posted last week, so you can see how the three pieces fit together:
Adam Sandler’s ‘Grown Ups’

Adam Sandler’s new film, Grown Ups, has released its teaser trailer to the public today. With a great cast of comedians this looks like it could be a lot of fun. With Chris Rock, Kevin James, David Spade, Rob Schneider and Sandler, there has to be some comedy genius right? This should be pretty decent, but may struggle in some aspects. Check out the trailer below after the jump:
Box Office Battlefield: 2012, Pirate Radio, and The Fantastic Mr. Fox

Some scurvy devastatingly sly adventure films come to you this weekend in this episodes BOB of November 13, 2009. Foxes, pirates and cataclysmic devastation is in order for the weekend and they want you to join in the fun.

Date Night Teaser Trailer

The new romantic action comedy starring Steve Carrell and Tina Fey, Date Night, has finally revealed their teaser trailer. It looks meh to me and looks a little corny and extreme. I think the writer’s are hoping the actors are going to save this film from a catastrophe. oh well.

A Kick-Ass Teaser

Kick-Ass has finally come out with its official teaser trailer and let me tell you…it is kick ass. A smaller graphic novel hit turned big screen with great characters and interesting plot should take this film a long way, especially with fan boys.
