Audiences were given more than a treat during this year’s Super Bowl XLVII when the new promo spot for Iron Man 3 aired. The marketing team continues to do a fantastic job giving away only a taste of what’s to come, never revealing too much. The second full length trailer for the epic superhero franchise, Iron Man 2, has been released tonight after the Oscars. It sure is pretty spiffy and has tons of flashy explosions, girls, and hot new armors. Does this film still hold up to the gusto of the franchise or will it fall flat like Spider-man 3 did with all it’s characters? You decide. This trailer has a ton of new footage that helps link things together. It may give away almost too much, but it might have to if it wants to regain its fans and grab more attention to the not fanboys and girls out there.

Iron Man 2 is getting hot, but at the same time leaving everyone in the cold. WHAT DO THESE CLUES MEAN?!?!?!?!? This second poster reveals very little with just another highlighted word and a possible Thor like connection?! Ugh. Not only does Whiplash, played by Mickey Rourke, in Iron Man 2 get his own poster, but let the VIRAL MARKETING BEGIN!!! Hurray! I love viral marketing. It makes movies more interesting and fun sometimes if it allows a good build up of story and information leading to the end result which is the film. I can’t wait to see where this goes.
