If ‘Ghostbusters’ was ‘Inception’

It’s amazing how much music can affect the scene and tone of a film or television show. This great recut Ghostbusters trailer edited by YouTube user, Rothejfunk, is a perfect example of how music can affect the mood of the source material it is representing. No Strings Attached Red Band Trailer

Attempting to ignite some fire under this untraditional relationship RomCom and strike some buzz away from Friends With Benefits, Paramount has decided to release their own red band trailer for Ivan Reitman’s (Meatballs; Ghostbusters; Year One) No Strings Attached. Crossing the Streams with Ghostbusters 3

Will Ghostbusters 3 actually happen? Three different stories from the contributing actors have surfaced and if you are looking forward to this film being made, then these might be quite misleading. Bill Murray stated last month that the film is “just a myth,” and that “all this talk is just talk.” But other cast members have shared different stories on the progress of the film.

Who You Gonna Call? Ivan Reitman!!!

It is confirmed!! Thanks to the interwebs such as FirstShowing.net, Ivan Reitman, father of Jason Reitman (Juno, Up In The Air, Thank You For Smoking), has now been confirmed to direct Ghostbusters 3! Mr. Reitman has directed such epic pieces such as the two original Ghostbusters movies as well as Kindergarten Cop and My Super Ex-Girlfriend.

This is exciting news for the geek community, especially since everyone from the original cast will be involved! Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver have all been announced to be in the new horror/sci-fi/comedy. Now who are going to be the newcomers to pass the torch to? Only time will tell, but Ivan Reitman is saying that filming should begin something this year and to expect a 2011 release date!
