Last time we saw the god of thunder in his own standalone picture was back in 2011. And despite the Thor universe being less grounded in reality than any superhero movie we’ve seen before, Marvel Studios stood their ground, took a chance on the character, and raked in a respectable $449.3 million worldwide at the box office. And Marvel hopes to see the character continue to grow in Thor: The Dark World. Making their way on stage during Marvel Studio’s presentation at D23 Expo this morning, stars Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, and Anthony Hopkins made themselves available to present a clip from Thor: The Dark World. My anticipation of this film cannot contain itself, but alas there is not a theater in sight within 60 minutes of me where I can go see it. When it gets closer I will be there in a heartbeat.
