Warner Bros. Home Entertainment announced today that POKEMON DETECTIVE PIKACHU will arrive on Digital on July 23 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD on August 6. The adorable pocket monsters maid their live-action big screen debut earlier this summer with a nice welcome from fans around the world. Gareth Edward’s Godzilla found its audience at Comic-Con and it’s only fair that the Blu-ray and DVD release of the film is announced right before it this year. Making a big splash at the box office this spring, $93 million its opening weekend, Godzilla has come back with a vengeance. The bigger they are, the harder they fall, and in this case we’re talking about the Godzilla reboot, not the king of monsters himself. Despite a strong marketing campaign, a solid cast and promising director (Gareth Edwards), Godzilla sadly disappoints. If you happened to be outside the San Diego Convention Center near PETCO Park this weekend you may have noticed a building that looked like it was attacked by a monster. Thanks in part by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros., the king of monsters, Godzilla himself is coming back on to the big screen in May of 2014. What Legendary and Warner Bros. brought to Comic-Con 2013 this year was an experience far more extravagant then a teaser clip like last year, they brought fans to Japan to see the beast up close and personal.
