You meet a lot of strange and colorful individuals through all different kinds of animated features and shows. The genius minds over at Slate.com decided to create an amazing spectrum of color utilizing various different animated characters throughout time in honor of The Smurfs releasing this past weekend. There are so many iconic figures in this wheel that it brings way too much nostalgia that I might strike a tear. Doubtful since I removed my tear ducts in a surgery last fall. Neato: Would You Like to Own the House from Pixar’s Up?
Right now the housing market is still down in the dumps, but why not own a piece of cinematic history by buying a real-life authentic re-creation of Carl and Ellie’s house from Disney Pixar’s ‘Up’? For only $399,000, this 2,800 square foot replica can be yours! That may sound like a lot, but hey, if you have the money and love the movie ‘Up’ then go for it! The house was built by a custom home company in Utah, Bangerter Homes, and can be seen at 13215 S. 5390 West in Harriman, Utah. In Cased You Missed It: Watch Pixar’s Day & Night
Although it may have been defeated at the Oscars, which was an upset in my opinion, Pixar’s Day & Night, directed by Teddy Newsom, was an absolute joy to watch. It’s amazing and uncanny how ingenious these people are. Day & Night just mixes intelligent story making with beautiful animation. You can watch the entire short animated film after the break!
Toy Story 3 Meets LOST
Although Randy Newman composed the music for Toy Story 3, YouTube user FixiousMaximus decided it would be best to mesh Michael Giacchino’s score from LOST with one of the most depressing intense scenes from this summer’s Toy Story 3. Spoiler Warnings Beware, this video should not be scene if you have not scene Toy Story 3 and you don’t want anything major being ruined for you. If you have seen Toy Story 3 and love LOST, by all means, this video is for you.
Giacchino’s score mixes so well with this moment. As any LOST fan knows, when this certain piece of music begins that your tear ducts should be on full alert and you should locate the nearest kleenex as soon as possible. Check out the great video after the break!

With the craze of Toy Story 3, the folks at CrissCrossMedia have put together a re-enactment of the opening scene from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story. It’s not totally accurate (not Bo Peep), but you get the gist of it and have to give them credit for putting in the creative effort to make this. Check out the short video after the jump!

Did you know that there are 302 total characters in the film? That’s right, and did you know the original voice actors for Andy and Sid voice the characters again in this movie? Groovin’ With Ken and His Viral Toy Story 3 Marketing
With more and more admiration towards animated films, I am definitely digging this viral marketing campaigns for Pixar’s Toy Story 3. An interview of Ken the doll (voiced by Michael Keaton) and his dating tips, show a sort of adult side humor to these toys. They are pretty fun and if you had doubts about the direction of these new characters, specifically Ken, then I suggest you check these videos out. Pixar storytelling seems like they are going towards more adult themes like Up or Wall-E, while still maintaining their childlike wonderment. The highly anticipated Toy Story 3 will be released in theaters this Friday, June 18 in 3D, 2D, and IMAX 3D.
