2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards Nominations

2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards Nominees

Awards season is full steam ahead. The Screen Actors Guild made their nominations announcement earlier this month for the 19th Annual SAG Awards. There weren’t too many surprises other than Maggie Smith and team Marigold Hotel. Check out the entire list of nominees after the jump.

I’m still conflicted as to whether or notDaniel Day-Lewis’ portrayal of Honest Abe was fantastic or if he was just sleepwalking. At one point in Lincoln, DDL and Sally Field were practically trying to out act each other in a sword fight with their Oscars in-hand.

For a category that sums up best performance by a cast, I was hoping to see the cast of The Avengers in the mix. It’s stretching it, but it would have been nice recognition because they all worked so well together to culminate five separate films in to one – Agent Coulson FTW.

Denzel should be knocked out of the running by Anthony Hopkins, Flight is highly overrated and Hopkins role as Alfred Hitchcock was terrific. Denzel Washington was just being Denzel Washington, there wasn’t anything special about his acting. And where is Joaquin Phoenix?!

Can we also please just get over The Big Bang Theory? That show is horrendous and insulting. Here’s the list of nominees:
