Despite George Clooney’s character, Frank Walker, being afraid of a clock ticking down to the imminent future, Disney fans have been eager for May 22 to come around so Tomorrowland can reveal its secrets. A second trailer has just been released, unveiling more of the story and giving us a better idea of who these characters are. It’s so much fun when you know little about a film because it’s an original property and not a sequel, isn’t it? You can watch the latest trailer and check out all of our screenshots after the break.
What does George Clooney mean by “with every second that ticks by, the future is running out”? If you think about it, there’s always going to be a future. So is he implying that in Tomorrowland there is no future? Is this countdown some kind of omen for the end of the world if we don’t change our ways? Nix (Hugh Laurie) says that Frank believes Casey (Britt Robertson) can fix the future. So there must be some looming doom that threatens for Tomorrowland.
I loved the first trailer for Tomorrowland, it was a great teaser that drew us into the mystery of this original Walt Disney flick. As Clooney hits us right on the nose, they’ve painted a pretty decent picture as to what we can expect. This new trailer doesn’t play all of the film’s cards, but just enough to stir my imagination.
