T-He: Hilariously Creepy Snickers Halloween Commercial

Yayyy Snickers! Holidays bring the best out in advertisers, but the best holiday I could think of to be creative would be Halloween. This great new creepy Snickers ad is absolutely eerie and amusing. The costume in this commercial reminds me of the horrible horror gem The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation. Check out the ad spot after the break for a good time along with some great Burger King Halloween print ads from last year!

It’s a Mascot Trap: The Ackbar Story

Whether it was a trap or not, the campaign to bring one of the highest officers of the Rebel Alliance, Admiral Ackbar, to become the new mascot for the Ole Miss Rebels has been brought to an end. With this highly unbelievable tale of fanboy/girl dreams, it has come to the decision that Ackbar would not become the mascot for Ole Miss. ESPN has developed this story into a great commercial (short documentary?) to be seen by all who may have not had the chance to get the full impact of how close the south was to gaining a new mascot out of this world.

T-He: Old Spice Remix

Someone had to have remixed the Isaiah Mustafah Old Spice commercials one of these days, and that man is Mike Relm. It is a pretty catchy rhythm combined with the video responses Mustafah did from all the comments the Old Spice commercials got on YouTube and Twitter. He may be on a horse, by Mike Relm takes these hilarious commercials to a new beat. Check out the remix of the Old Spice videos after the jump along with Relm’s remix of Iron Man 2, which is also pretty catchy.

Old Spice Advertising Wins Again

The award winning agency, Wieden+Kennedy, win advertising again with another Old Spice Body Wash commercial, “Questions,”  with Isaiah Mustafa, “The Man Your Man Should Smell Like.” These commercials are so awesome it is hard to believe that commercials can be this entertaining still. This advertisement was probably better than any of the previous Super Bowl’s commercials, which is pretty sad. Isaiah Mustafa recently visited Attack of the Show to talk about his prepping and production of the commercial shoot while plugging his name in for the wishlist of Marvel’s Luke Cage. I hope he gets it, he is pretty awesome and has a voice of a superhero. Swan dive into this awesome commercial after the jump!

T-He: Dodge Challenger “Freedom” Commercial

I saw this commercial right before the world cup match between England and USA. Who ever planned that timing was probably an expert in media planning and whoever came up with this commercial was a creative genius. Not very loud and in your face humor, but very smart and well done. Now I don’t really enjoy car commercials too much, as they are pretty hard to sell and are boring, but whoever created this commercial, “Freedom” for the Dodge Challenger and the Kia Soul commercial with the hamsters, have gotten car advertisements down to a science. No longer will I be bored watching cars drive around turns and up mountains. I now have the luxury of watching hamsters roll up in their new cars and play basketball and Americans truly embracing their freedoms in their new Dodge Challengers. Watch the commercial after the jump!

T-He: Kia Soul Hamsters, “This or That”

When I first saw this fluffy little guys in the first Kia Soul advertisement, I thought it was pretty genius and creatively intuitive; “A New Way to Roll.” The marketing was simplistic and brought you in with humor while staying true to what you are selling instead of relying on just a gag. The new Kia Soul hamster commercial is just priceless. Not only are the Hamsters portrayed with more human attributes, but they are rapping and pure gangster. Now I’m not too sure if the persona of the hamsters being rappers were the right move, unless that was the demographic they were looking for. I would think they just came upon the song and went from there. Either way it’s a hilariously creative commercial with still the same charm, but just more in your face. Check out the raping Kia Soul hamsters after the jump!

Do You Have Orange Pride?

And I don’t mean the Florida Gators or the Fighting Illini. Hooters alumni rejoice as you have your own bond, apparently, through this ad campaign(?) that just boggles my mind.  Hooters is trying to recruit more girls into their ever growing 300,000 alumni. This ad campaign is smart in a way proving that you can be smart and work at Hooters, but at the same time you can’t help but laugh at how serious they take themselves. I don’t mean it as a sexist thing and saying all girls who work at Hooters are dumb, I just think the commercial is hilarious in the fact that it is almost like a public service announcement/legal counsel advertisement or a horrible Devry University commercial. Just take a look at the commercial after the jump to see what I mean…… Continue reading

Mad Men Season 4 Starts Late July!

AMC announced recently that the season four of the critically acclaimed show, Mad Men, would start back up on July 25! This show is incredible, season three ended amazingly well, and if you have’t seen this show, WATCH IT! This show cannot be stopped and has won the Golden Globe for best drama series on television three years in a row, which has never been done before. Airing Sunday nights at 10PM (ET/PT) will return probably better than ever and hopefully not disappoint. Excited? Well you should be!

T-He: If South Park Was Real

A funny and weird look into the world of South Park if it were created into a live action show. This is just some funny commercial created but for Dutch Comedy Central. The voice overs are bad, but it gets the point across in the South Park way.

Super Bowl 44 Commercial Criticism

Yeah it’s been a month since I wrote these notes down and Super Bowl XLIV ended, but I figured might as well get it off my chest aka my desktop. So as the commercials piled up during the big game, I took a few notes on each one with criticism. I can say that there were hardly any good commercials and most were just sub-par. Some are just bad. What happened to Super Bowl commercials? Well how about we get into this shall we…… check out my Super Bowl commercial breakdowns after the jump……
