Kids Are Treated to Mega Gore Not ‘Megamind’

On average, when I go into a movie, I am always double checking and over worrying that I went into the wrong theater. Unfortunately for a few parents who thought they were taking their kids to see Megamind were treated with something quite unexpected. According to WDHD-TV, those who attended the Showcase Cinemas in Revere, Massachusetts were accidentally screened Saw 3D for a few minutes, which opens up with some of the ending moments of Saw and some addition footage with quite a lot of gore.

Now this story can go in one of two ways. If you are a parent you could be horribly outraged, but if you are anyone else I am sure your reaction is BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

When asked to vote on Barbie’s next profession, who would have thought that the masses would vote for computer engineer? I Went to the Wrong School

Anyone who attends the University of Baltimore this semester can enroll in a Zombies Studies class taught by Arnold Blumberg. Blumberg is the author of Zombiemania and has developed his class agenda around this piece of literature and works of zombie cinema throughout history. Students will be reading various books and films about the undead while focusing on more than just the works, but as well as other areas of how they effect and relate to society.

Blumberg states, “It’s relatively easy to connect the zombie to what is happening in culture. We’ll have fun with it, but we’ll also give it a serious look in different contexts, like that of American progress.”

And he also adds, “The zombie functions as an allegory for all sorts of things that play out in our country. Whether it’s the threat of communism during the Cold War or our fears about bioterrorism in 2010.”

Who needs Principles of Earth Science or The Cultural Perspective on Gender when you can study the walking dead. When the zombie outbreak occurs, only those who have studied the key characteristics of brain devouring zombies could possibly save us from the infection, or perhaps those with a heavy arsenal of guns.

G4 and 501st Legion Put on Charity Star Wars Car Wash

How does G4 put on a charity car wash? The only way they know how, by seducing fanboys with hot girls. G4 teamed up with the 501st Legion Imperial Costuming Organization to help raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Leading the operation was none other than Playboy Playmate of the Year 2007 and filler co-host for “Attack of the Show!” Sara Jean Underwood. With Sara Underwood at the helm, you could have guessed that many lined up for this philanthropic event. Slave Leias, Darth Vader, the Imperial Army, Boba Fett, and more, G4 managed to raise a good amount of money and have fun at the same time.

Check out some more photos of Sara and the Slave Leias get soapy and wet hard at work after the jump!

Bobby Lee + Susan Boyle + Whitney Houston = Lin Yu Chun

Lin Yu Chun, a 23-year old contestant on Taiwan’s version of America’s Got Talent called “Super Star Avenue,” has been dubbed the Chinese Susan Boyle. Looking at him, like Boyle,  you would not even believe what can come out of this little guy, even the host seems skeptical. It is pretty remarkably ridiculous how well this is sung, although I cannot say that I know anything about singing or tonal differences, but I’d have to say this is pretty damn good. In this video he sing’s Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” Watch this video after the jump and be amazed.

Apple Has Announced Their iPad! The Future is Now?!

Well it is finally here, the new Apple Tablet everyone has been talking about and just waiting for them to officially announce has finally come upon us. The Apple iPad is the newest gem in the sea of ridiculous technology Apple has brought to us. This iPad is basically a gigantic iPhone with higher quality display, a giant keyboard, and a book store like the kindle. On the Apple site, they claim to have over 140,000 applications at your disposal to cram into your pad. The iPad is definitely more advanced than the the iPhone; it is practically the inbetween of the iPhone and MacBook. It has programs such as Safari, KeyNote, Pages, and Numbers. It is pretty cool, but will the hype last? I mean it is cool, but with the portability of the iPhone and capacity and more options the Apple laptops have, is there really a need to have the iPad other than to show off that you are “hip” with the age? Best Picture Films I Should Probably See

Apparently I have seen 43 of the past 95 films of the last 19 years nominated for best picture at the Academy Awards. I suppose I need to get the ball rolling and sit down and watch some more flicks.

I sat down and looked at Wiki’s list and compiled those that I have seen versus the ones I have not.

After the jump you can see the list if you want……
