T-He: The Jack Chop, Get Yours Today!

Hatchet and Frozen helmer Adam Green continues his annual Halloween short film streak with Jack Chop!, a hilarious spoof on the “Slap Chop” informercial, that’s going to put a big ol’ goofy grin on your face (especially those of you, like me, who grew up on the East Coast).

For this entry, Green called in Paul Solet, the director of Grace, as the unlucky “Jack Chop” host. Good stuff! Oh, I should add this is not safe for work (due to language, but f**k it – watch it anyway!).

More of Green’s Halloween shorts can be found at Ariescope.com.

I Have Completed My Goal! 100 Movies 1 Summer!

movies

So I had this goal for the Summer to build my film palette up. The g0al was to watch 100 movies that I have never seen before by the end of the Summer. Well, the final day of Summer has come and today I finished my goal with my 100th film! That makes 100 films in 93 days or 13 weeks. WOO! That’s a lot of movies. Averages out to 7.7 movies a week. I put no bias into what movies I decided to watch. I’ve seen some pretttttty bad movies and some really good movies and everywhere inbetween. This experiment was really fun and would love to try it again next year.

The entire list of films I saw after the jump:

The residents of Stockholm, Sweden really love Michael Jackson.

Videogame Quintet Performance

A live performance for Seattle’s Marrowstone in the City program. The music was arranged by the genius Lennart Jansson (Link) and Gen Kim(Ash Ketchum). Gen choreographed all the extra bits behind them as they play and sang the Halo theme, of course. The Tetris bit is a tribute to the old a capella group that did game themes. Lennart is playing an ocarina there, and Gen drumming the top of my violin. Hope you enjoy.

Order of performance:
The Legend of Zelda
Pokemon
Halo
Tetris
Kirby
Pong
Super Mario Bros.
Super Mario World

1st Violin – Koyo Kim (Mario)
2nd Violin – Gen Kim (Ash Ketchum)
Viola – Justine Preston (Luigi)
1st Cello – Lennart Jansson (Link)
2nd Cello – Sarah Stone (Princess Peach)
