Apparently I haven’t been paying too much attention to the marketing for The Hunger Games otherwise I would have known there was a viral marketing campaign to unveil the latest poster. One hundred websites were given 100 pieces to a puzzle that would reveal the newest one-sheet for The Hunger Games. What could be the next epic trilogy or teen crazed Twilight-like fad, The Hunger Games movie is looking to be a little something of both. The book trilogy, written by Suzanne Collins, and adapted by Gary Ross is set to the tone of a post-apocalyptic world formerly known as North America. Twelve districts annually send out teenagers to fight in a televised battle where only one can survive. Lionsgate has released eight new character posters introducing you to the main cast. Too often we are graced with the same formulaic romantic comedies that seem to never seem to push the boundaries of the genre nor give us something that makes it feel like we haven’t seen it before. Friends With Benefits wants to push these boundaries and bring us a new raunchy romantic comedy with some quirky goodness. Friends with Benefits does not seem like your ordinary romantic comedy, but it is not devoid of the of all the typical stereotypes within the genre. Check out the new trailer to ‘Zombieland,’ right here, that was released today! This film stars such actors as Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, Abigail Breslin, Amber Heard, Bill Murray and directed by Ruben Fleischer. I believe this is a rejuvenation of what a good zombie movie can be that brings people to the theaters. The last good zombie flick I have seen that I have wanted to go out of my way to see was the ‘Dawn of the Dead’ remake and ‘Shaun of the Dead.’ With ‘Zombieland,’ it looks like it could be the next big zombie zom/com. Parts of the trailer could take a bit of ‘Left 4 Dead’ influence along with ‘Dawn of the Dead’ humor; all they need is Ving Rhames……… With laughs, scares, action and gore what else could you ask for in this October 9th movie.
