Warner Bros. Delays 'Batman Vs. Superman' Until 2016

Well ain’t that a peach? Just as the cast of the untitled Man of Steel 2 or Batman vs. Superman or whatever you want to call it was gaining headway – Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman – Warner bros. has announced this week that the project has been delayed until 2016. Now with July 17, 2015 freed up, WB has positioned Joe Wright’s Pan, a new live action Peter Pan adventure, to take Batman vs. Superman’s place. However, with its sights set on 2016, the epic DC superhero film may clash with a Marvel Studios release. More on this story after the break. Continue reading →

Ben Affleck Officially Announced to Play Batman

Let it be heard that on Thursday, August 22, 2013 Ben Affleck, Daredevil himself, was officially announced to portray Bruce Wayne aka Batman in the upcoming, untitled Man of Steel sequel aka Batman vs. Superman. Slated to open July 17, 2015, Affleck will be joining Henry Cavill as the two actors will square off when Batman meets Superman in the ultimate showdown of DC superheroes. Henry Cavill Cast as Superman for Zack Snyder’s Film

The debate on who would be cast as the man of steel has finally reached an end. Ladies and gentleman, may I please direct your attention to Henry Cavill (The Tudors, Stardust). This Brit will be donning the infamous red and blue tights as he battles into the unknown as we have yet to hear an official plot synopsis thus far. And for those worried about a British actor playing such an iconic figure, may I enforce the fact that Christian Bale is British and playing Bruce Wayne, Andrew Garfield is at Brit playing Peter Parker, and Ryan Reynolds is a Canadian acting as Hal Jordan. The Final ‘Sucker Punch’ Poster

March 25th cannot come soon enough with the release of Sucker Punch. Warner Brothers released one final poster that is visually clustered with tints of green and yellow hues. Although the poster is packed full of visuals and the title takes up half of the page, I still think it is considerably better than some action posters that come out these days. I do love their use of tilted text on the title; I’ve always loved their typography for the title. Sucker Punch Theatrical Trailer Is Tasty Eye Candy

You can say what you will about Zack Snyder’s filming techniques, but you have to give him credit for his visionary excellence. Warner Bros. released the first theatrical trailer for Sucker Punch this past week and it is absolutely ridiculous. This movie has it all, if you were to scour the Internet to see what nerds and geeks wanted in an action movie, they would find Sucker Punch. From Nazi zombies scouring a post apocalyptic warzone to a school girl wielding a Samurai sword slicing through robots while her badass companions fire machine guns engaging in full air combat, this movie was made for fanboys/girls. Zack Snyder Confirmed to Direct Superman

It has been confirmed by Deadline, who spoke with Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead), that he is now taking control of the director seat and will be starting Superman, for Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures, when he finishes with Sucker Punch.
