Who is Tom Shadyac you might ask? Well Tom Shadyac has been in director’s chair for one of the most recognizable comedic libraries of the current era (Ace Venture: Pet Detective; The Nutty Professor; Bruce Almighty; Liar, Liar; Patch Adams). But after a near-death experience Tom Shadyac gave away all of his money and decided to go on an adventure to explore the human condition and how we can improve the world. Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides Teaser Trailer
Franchise nostalgia start your engines. Pirates of the Caribbean has not seen a movie since 2007 and many believed that the franchise would never see another movie with all of the mixed emotions of the second and third movies. I, myself, find them easily acceptable, but nothing too amazing praise about. The first one will always hold a place in my heart. But let’s talk about this teaser trailer for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, which you can watch after the jump and look for the movie May 20, 2011! [Update 1/2: I just nabbed over 150 screenshots of the trailer too!]

What seemed to be a lost cause after Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon has given the Transformers franchise a shimmer of hope glistening amongst the stars with their new “Announcement Trailer.” Check out the very sleek, well done, and not so “Bay like” trailer after the break along with over 50 hi-res stills!
‘The Beaver’ Trailer and the Hilarious Recut Version
I’ve never counted out Mel Gibson as an actor, and although he has not made the wisest social choices in his life, he still is a talented actor. Could this be the revival to his career that he needs? Maybe? I wouldn’t mark this as something monumental, but this trailer shows a very unique film that will definitely bring back his career or just continue his constant ridicule as the talking beaver guy now. Which brings us to the second half of the title of this post. Unfortunately for Gibson, someone submitted a video to Funny or Die of a recut the trailer for The Beaver to include his vocalized rants as the beaver’s voice. Oh well. Props to Jodie Foster as well for directing this piece too. Catch both videos after the break.
Mindtrip Trailer for Duncan Jones’ Source Code
This is a late entry, but I figured I was still fascinated by the story behind Duncan Jones’ new movie, Source Code. Of course, Mr. Jones was the visionary mind behind the low budget, under the radar, indie flick Moon. Since this is a Duncan Jones film, I am really interested to see how his sophomore work will turn out. It looks pretty well done, but trailers don’t always tell the entire tale. Source Code stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Monaghan, Vera Farmiga, and Jeffrey Wright. You can check out the trailer after the break or in at Apple.com for full 1080p.
Official Trailer for ‘Cowboys and Aliens’
Yet another movie trailer that has come out this week, but this one is absolutely spectacular. I cannot wait until this movie comes out to theaters, based on this trailer anyways. Cowboys and Aliens, directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man, Elf), is a 100-page 2006 graphic novel adaptation created by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg and written by Fred Van Lente and Andrew Foleyand. Favreau has always had a very keen eye for what’s right in a film and great sense of direction. Cowboys and Aliens features Daniel Craig, Harrison Ford, Olivia Wilde, and Sam Rockwell.

The Official Trailer for ‘The Green Lantern’
This trailer has been up for a while now, a week tops, but I finally got to posting it. Sue me, I’ve been busy. But anyways, here it is. The official ‘The Green Lantern’ trailer has been released. I have it hear in HD and in English. So hah, that’s what I can give you for waiting. The trailer is courtesy of YouTube, courtesy of Apple.com.
This trailer makes the film look like a lot of fun while Ryan Reynolds does his thing. You gotta let Reynolds do his thing, it’s Ryan freaking Reynolds, look at those abs. The Green Lantern also stars the lovely Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Mark Strong, Jay O. Sanders, Temuera Morrison, Taika Waititi, Jon Tenney, Angela Bassett, Tim Robbins and directed by Martin Campbell (Goldeneye, Casino Royale).

An Intense ‘Battle: Los Angeles’ Trailer

Could this be the invasion movie we have been waiting for since Independence Day? Battle: Los Angeles, directed by Jonathan Liebesman, takes us into a conspiracy theory of dates and speculations of alien sightings that could be leading up to this final battle… within Los Angeles. Battle: LA stars Aaron Eckhart, Michelle Rodriguez, Ramon Rodriguez, Bridget Moynahan, Ne-Yo, and Michael Peña. View the funtastic trailer after the break!
Disney’s ‘Winnie the Pooh’ Trailer
It’s time to go back and find your inner-child. Disney’s Winnie The Pooh will be hitting theaters next summer and it has been quite a while since we saw the lovely Pooh Bear on the big screen. It is not too often that we get hand drawn animated features these days, but when we do, I feel that we get something more out of the film. Winnie The Pooh looks excellent. The colors, drawings, and animation all work beautifully in this trailer, but I am on the fence about the incorporation of CGI use. Boy these characters bring me back, which hopefully will have the same affect on a lot of people to make it to the theater to see these classic characters.
