Last night, NBC dropped a bomb on the superhero world with the announcement of Heroes Reborn, a 13 episode miniseries set to air in 2015. Whether this is a continuation of where the original characters from Heroes left off or a completely new set of super people is yet to be confirmed. As one of the most risque marketed films of yesteryear, Nurse 3D is coming home on Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD on April 8 after its short limited release in theaters. It’s quite common for horror movies such as Nurse 3D to get such a short run, and that’s fine. Horror movies are my jam, but unfortunately some smaller indie films slip through the cracks and I am unable to catch them on VOD or in the time they are in limited theaters. Which is why I am happy to announce Magnolia Home Enteratinment will be releasing the Mexican thriller Here Comes the Devil on Blu-Ray and DVD March 18. Written and directed by Adrián García Bogliano, this little horror has gotten much praise out of horror fans who have been able to check it out, so I cannot wait to see what the hype is all about. I’m predicting the future, and what I foresee is that 12 Years a Slave will win Best Picture at the Oscars on March 2 and the home video sales will skyrocket once it releases on March 4, the following Tuesday.
