Formally The Baster, The Switch Trailer

Formally known as “The Baster,” The Switch (which is a horrible name) looks potentially funny, but will probably be a bust. The only thing that will save this movie from being dull is Jeff Goldblum probably. Jason Bateman reminds me of an grown up Michael Cera with Jennifer Aniston as the love interest. Sort of a odd premise for a RomCom, but probably won’t be as great as the actors will lead it to be. You can view the trailer after the jump!

Robert Rodriguez’s Predators Gets a Trailer

Robert Rodriguez’s Predators finally gets a teaser trailer that makes the franchise look like it has gained some new life. Very dark and low key about an absolute premise, but we do get a general detail. Looks very action packed and with Robert Rodriguez at the helm, there is sure to be some gun slinging excellence. Take a look at the trailer after the jump!

The First Epic Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Poster

This first teaser poster for the nerdtastic film, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, was released this past week, March 17, on the official Scott Pilgrim vs. The World site. This is a pretty small look at what is to come from this video game/graphic novel/teen angst/musical nerd epic that will shock the world with its fun and interesting style. Directed by Edgar Wright, writer/director of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, which should be proof enough that this film will be a must see. Starring Michael Cera, Anna Kendrick, Chris Evans, and Brandon Routh, this graphic novel adaption should be expected to be in theaters this Fall.

Copeland ~ The Farewell Tour

It’s always a sad day when you find out that your favorite band will be breaking up. Copeland announced in October of 2009 that they would be splitting up, but not before they go on tour one last time. The best treat a band could give to their fans before they part is one last tour and The Farewell Tour was something that could not be forgotten. Luckily it was not a bitter break up that allowed their fans to see them one more time unlike some bands that just part ways leaving  fans depressed. Copeland definitely did this for their supporters and to show the great admiration they had for them.

Travis Coburn’s BAFTA Retro Best Film Nominee Posters

BAFTA (the British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Awards happened a little while back, but this artist, Travis Coburn, was chosen to draw up one of each best film nominees for this years BAFTA’s (Avatar, An Education, The Hurt Locker, Precious, and Up in the Air). These retro posters are pretty spiffy and I wish I was this cool to illustrate something like this, maybe if I had like a year to do it I could. You can see more of Travis’ work Portfolio 1 and Portfolio 2. Check the five out after the jump!
