‘American Horror Story: Asylum’ Character and Story Teases

American Horro Story Asylum

The first time I heard about American Horror Story, I was more excited about the development of this project than Leatherface creating a new mask. When the series debuted on FX last year I had hope, but as the show progressed that hope turned to doubt, confusion, anger, and finally at the end, mediocre content.

After American Horror Story was approved for more seasons I found myself in a furious uproar, especially if we were to continue with the bi-polar, unrelatable Harmon family. Eventually announced as a mini-series, meaning we would see a different story each season, I was please to hear we would get a fresh new start. This new beginning takes us into the deepest parts of a 1960’s insane asylum. Continue reading

2011: A Year Of Entertainment In Review

Movie Theater Popcorn

What a year in entertainment it was! Not only was it a record breaking year for movies – 27 sequels were released in 2011  – but there has been a lot of crazy happenings in television as well. We got some great popcorn flicks – Tranformers: Dark of the Moon, X-Men: First Class, and Rise of the Planet of the Apeswe saw the final Harry Potter film, Breaking Bad season four was nucking futs, Community was put on hiatus til Spring of 2012, and we were introduced to American Horror Story.

I myself sat down to partake in the viewing of a lot of entertainment this year, but not as much as I would have liked. Again, I had tried to fulfill a year of more films to knock off my shame-list, but sadly I was overtaken with more real-world priorities and a very inconsistent work schedule. How much media did I watch this year that I have never seen before? I kept track, so take a look! Continue reading

Anticipation for ‘American Horror Story’ Builds

Not only has a new creepy teaser image/poster for American Horror Story appeared, but a brand new trailer full of actual footage has also been released and my anticipation couldn’t be any greater than it already is. The craving I have for good horror will hopefully be fulfilled this October 5 when the premiere episode of AHS finally airs on FX. Not only do I love horror, but what Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk have already done with their previous creations, Nip/Tuck and Glee, only strengthens my trust in this program. Check out the full 30-second trailer after the break!
