Notably, the PGA Awards have been looked upon as one of the best bets to determine which film would walk away with the Oscar for Best Picture. According to IndieWire.com, the PGA winner for Best Picture has matched the Oscars 17 times over the past 24 years, the last six times in fact. But with so many incredible movies in 2013 the Producers Guild of America knocked Hollywood on its ass by giving both Gravity and 12 Years a Slave Best Picture at the awards last night.
