You cannot really understand the awesomeness of the all powerful entrance video of the Alaska Nanooks hockey team until you have seen it yourself. This is probably the coolest computer animated video for a sports team ever and more teams need to recognize the designers behind it. Not many words can describe the awesomeness of this mystical and awe inspiring work of advertising. Someone finally has gotten it right in terms of how to market to an audience with pizazz and flair. Who knew that your old man’s deodorant would pull something like this out of their bags of tricks. The agency responsible for this creative campaign work must be on top of the world. They really did a fine job and my hat goes off to them! I’m on a horse…… Check out the spot and something extra after the jump!!
One of the Oscar-nominated films, Logorama, for the best animated short has popped up online. It is pretty cool and would only assume that it has at least over 1,000 different logos from all sorts of areas in it. Written and directed by the French team of François Alaux and Herve de Crecy, this little film took a few years to create.
I’m guessing due to copyright laws and hunting down the right people to be able to use the logos. And the animation itself is pretty neatly done. There are so many logos in this, one could assume that it is flooded with so many brands that it is trying to tell us that we are bombarded with so much crap these days that it just destroys and desensitizes us. Clíché? Maybe? That’s probably too obvious that it’s right. You are probably calling me an idiot and saying, DUH, right now.

Well it is finally here, the new Apple Tablet everyone has been talking about and just waiting for them to officially announce has finally come upon us. The Apple iPad is the newest gem in the sea of ridiculous technology Apple has brought to us. This iPad is basically a gigantic iPhone with higher quality display, a giant keyboard, and a book store like the kindle. On the Apple site, they claim to have over 140,000 applications at your disposal to cram into your pad. The iPad is definitely more advanced than the the iPhone; it is practically the inbetween of the iPhone and MacBook. It has programs such as Safari, KeyNote, Pages, and Numbers. It is pretty cool, but will the hype last? I mean it is cool, but with the portability of the iPhone and capacity and more options the Apple laptops have, is there really a need to have the iPad other than to show off that you are “hip” with the age? The final season of Lost is coming upon us very soon and the marketers/cast/writers/etc decided to shoot two ‘last supper’ pictures to promote the final season I would assume. They are pretty cool and this has been done before with Battlestar Galatica, The Soprano’s, and House (although I’m not sure if House has had a last season or is on it’s last season yet). I stumbled on this epic ‘mural’ of someone’s portrayal of the Disney and Marvel Comics merge. I think it’s pretty cool and someone put some good thought into it. Click on the picture to enlarge it. Plus if you didn’t know, the Marvel share holders approved the buy out this past week or so. Word……
Iron Man 2 is getting hot, but at the same time leaving everyone in the cold. WHAT DO THESE CLUES MEAN?!?!?!?!? This second poster reveals very little with just another highlighted word and a possible Thor like connection?! Ugh.
