Robert De Niro to Receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award

Cecil B. DeMille was an award winning producer notable for his work on Union Pacific, Cleopatra, and The Ten Commandments. In commemoration of his death, the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award was created in his honor and given out during the Golden Globe Awards. Robert De Niro will be the next coveted honoree to this award who is following last year’s recipient Martin Scorsese.

Darren Lynn Bousman’s ‘Mother’s Day’ Gets a Release Date!

The long awaited remake of the Troma cult classic, Mother’s Day, has been given a release date after premiering at Fantastic Fest earlier this year. Gigapex Studio picked up the film so mark your calendars for April 1, 2011 [Via BD and STYD]. Director Darren Lynn Bousman is no new face to horror as he helmed Saw II, III, and IV. Appearing in this film are Jaime King, Deborah Ann Woll, Briana Evigan, Alexa Vega, Shawn Ashmore, Matt O’Leary, Lyriq Bent, Lisa Marcos, Patrick Flueger, AJ Cook, J. Sucker Punch Theatrical Trailer Is Tasty Eye Candy

You can say what you will about Zack Snyder’s filming techniques, but you have to give him credit for his visionary excellence. Warner Bros. released the first theatrical trailer for Sucker Punch this past week and it is absolutely ridiculous. This movie has it all, if you were to scour the Internet to see what nerds and geeks wanted in an action movie, they would find Sucker Punch. From Nazi zombies scouring a post apocalyptic warzone to a school girl wielding a Samurai sword slicing through robots while her badass companions fire machine guns engaging in full air combat, this movie was made for fanboys/girls. ‘Friends With Benefits’ Delivers a Raunchy Red Band Trailer

Too often we are graced with the same formulaic romantic comedies that seem to never seem to push the boundaries of the genre nor give us something that makes it feel like we haven’t seen it before. Friends With Benefits wants to push these boundaries and bring us a new raunchy romantic comedy with some quirky goodness. Friends with Benefits does not seem like your ordinary romantic comedy, but it is not devoid of the of all the typical stereotypes within the genre. Established in 1994, Fox Searchlight has released many memorable films that have stuck with movie goers for over the past 15 years. Specializing in independent and British films, along with dabbling in horror, dramedies, and a few foreign films, Fox Searchlight has brought us some of the most personable characters and inspiring moments in cinematic history.
