A Goofy Movie Shot For Shot Live Action Sequence

This fun live action short recreation of Disney’s A Goofy Movie was created by Ted Sowards. All it took to create this fun piece was with a lot of help of friends, $100, Final Cut Studio, fun and a lot of time. It is really cool to see how far they went with their creativity  as it is basically shot for shot. You can check out the video as it has a side by side comparison if you continue reading after the jump!

Formally The Baster, The Switch Trailer

Formally known as “The Baster,” The Switch (which is a horrible name) looks potentially funny, but will probably be a bust. The only thing that will save this movie from being dull is Jeff Goldblum probably. Jason Bateman reminds me of an grown up Michael Cera with Jennifer Aniston as the love interest. Sort of a odd premise for a RomCom, but probably won’t be as great as the actors will lead it to be. You can view the trailer after the jump!

The First Epic Scott Pilgrim vs. The World Poster

This first teaser poster for the nerdtastic film, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, was released this past week, March 17, on the official Scott Pilgrim vs. The World site. This is a pretty small look at what is to come from this video game/graphic novel/teen angst/musical nerd epic that will shock the world with its fun and interesting style. Directed by Edgar Wright, writer/director of Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, which should be proof enough that this film will be a must see. Starring Michael Cera, Anna Kendrick, Chris Evans, and Brandon Routh, this graphic novel adaption should be expected to be in theaters this Fall.

These retro posters are pretty spiffy and I wish I was this cool to illustrate something like this, maybe if I had like a year to do it I could. You can see more of Travis’ work Portfolio 1 and Portfolio 2. Check the five out after the jump!

Neato: The Lost Art of Inglourious Basterds

This is kind of old, maybe a month, but I figured it was still worth it to post because these are some pretty cool posters. These were for a benefit for Haiti in February that had Upper Playground and The Weinstein Company team together to throw this gig. A bunch of artists came together to create this interesting art pieces that were their interpretation of the film. All the proceeds went to the American Red Cross to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake. You can check out all the posters after the jump!
