You may think San Diego Comic-Con is just a bunch of nerds gathering together to dress up in costumes and write fan fiction, but that’s just not the case. As much of that statement is true, Comic-Con is in fact a giant hub for big parties to celebrate geekdom and a place for celebrities to mingle with fans, sometimes. There are many, many fantastic events to attend this year, and you can find our ultimate SDCC party guide after the break.
Since I’ve only had the chance to see half of what there is outside of the convention center and just a fraction of the SDCC showroom floor, today I had my work cut out for me. Zachary Levi’s Nerd HQ and The Jackdaw were high on my list today, along with chipping away more of what there is to see inside. It was a fairly bountiful day at Comic-Con 2013. After waiting all day in lines, bumping elbows with fellow nerds, and walking around for a better part of the day, Comic-Con does not end when the sun sets. There are many fantastic parties where you may run into various celebrities, partake in food and drink, and obtain a lot of swag. Not only do these parties make the convention more enjoyable, but they make it unforgettable (depending on how much you drink). A number of these parties do require an RSVP or an invite, but there are a good amount that are still open to the public for free or at a minor cost.
