There were many promising films released this past year that unfortunately fell flat on their faces. This could be blamed on the marketing, sequalitis, the production, or poor direction. But anyway you look at, this list of 10 films left an empty place in my heart. What were once thought of as the most anticipated movies of 2013 sadly dissolved into something toxic. Comic-Con 2013: Preview Night Recap and Photo Gallery
And so it begins. Comic-Con 2013 is upon us and it has taken San Diego by storm. Preview Night of SDCC started at 6pm this evening and already there were lines leading out of the convention center. The streets of the Gaslamp Quarter were paved with attendees and tourists alike, taking in the sights before the madness begins tomorrow. Complete Party Guide to San Diego Comic-Con 2013
After waiting all day in lines, bumping elbows with fellow nerds, and walking around for a better part of the day, Comic-Con does not end when the sun sets. There are many fantastic parties where you may run into various celebrities, partake in food and drink, and obtain a lot of swag. Not only do these parties make the convention more enjoyable, but they make it unforgettable (depending on how much you drink). A number of these parties do require an RSVP or an invite, but there are a good amount that are still open to the public for free or at a minor cost. Although June 21st is the first official day of summer, Hollywood sees differently. Because there are not enough days in the year to pack all of the explosive, sexy, fast-paced blockbusters in just one season, May has been championed as the unofficial beginnings of summer. We’ve seen some spectacular summer movie seasons before and we have had our stinkers.
