Warner Bros. has released the first trailer for their upcoming female-driven, summer comedy Hot Pursuit. Directed by Anne Fletcher (Step Up; The Proposal; 27 Dresses), the movie sees Reese Witherspoon (Walk the Line; Wild) running from the cartel to ensure the safety of Sofía Vergara (Modern Family) to bring her in for protective custody. TV writers David Feeney (New Girl; According to Jim) and John Quaintance (Joey; Whitney) penned the screenplay, which will hit theaters on May 8. Only a little over a month after the casting announcement for David Ayer’s Suicide Squad, Tom Hardy has dropped out of his role as Rick Flag. Hardy made the decision to leave the film due to a conflicting schedule with another project he is working on.
