Neato: ‘The Legend of Zelda’ Cancan and Marimba Tributes

The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time

Arguably, The Legend of Zelda is one of the best video game franchises of this known world. More so, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is one of the best games ever created. Period. When you combine the awesome power of Zelda with the geeking power of those who are enamored with our green tunic wearing hero then all balance is fully restored to the nerdosphere. Continue reading

TeeHee: Saruman Trololoing On Top of Isengard

The Lord of the Rings Saruman Trololo

This video is pretty old in Internet time since it came out this Summer, but there have been a lot of things that I haven’t posted because I just haven’t gotten around to writing about ’em. So if you haven’t seen Saruman (Christopher Lee) from The Lord of the Rings singing Eduard Khill’s infamous “Trololo” then you are in for a real treat. Continue reading

Celebrate Halloween With a ‘Trick ‘r Treat’ 24-Hour Marathon on FEARnet

Trick 'r Treat Sam

Breaking through the static of mainstream horror of all its splatterore porn and “found footage” films is a tough business to be had. One man dared to dream, Michael Dougherty. Today, October 31, 2012, FEARnet brings you a 24-hour marathon of his film Trick ‘r Treat, which I can honestly say is one of the best horror films of the modern era. Continue reading

Eight Character Posters for ‘The Hunger Games’

The Hunger Games Logo

What could be the next epic trilogy or teen crazed Twilight-like fad, The Hunger Games movie is looking to be a little something of both. The book trilogy, written by Suzanne Collins, and adapted by Gary Ross is set to the tone of a post-apocalyptic world formerly known as North America. Twelve districts annually send out teenagers to fight in a televised battle where only one can survive. Lionsgate has released eight new character posters introducing you to the main cast. Young and old, the cast looks spritely and you can check out all eight posters after the jump. Continue reading

FEARnet’s ‘Trick ‘r Treat’ Halloween PSAs and 24-Hour Marathon

FEARnet Trick R Treat Halloween Rules

I FREAKING LOVE HALLOWEEN. The spirit of the holiday season is amazing and it’s not just because the female species feels that it is necessary to dress slutty 78% of the time. The horror movies, the candy, the parties, the atmosphere, the eeriness of it all to be celebrating the dead – or undead – I LOVE IT ALL. And what better way to celebrate All-Hallows-Eve then to have a 24-hour Trick ‘r Treat marathon. But before we partake in this amazing movie marathon, we must first carefully follow the rules of Halloween provided by FEARnet. Check out four-amazingly well-done PSAs of Halloween after the jump. Expect DreamWorks’ Films On Netflix in 2013

Dreamworks Logo

After increasing their prices and failing to reacquire a new contract with Starz, Netflix seemed a little down in the dumps and was losing subscribers faster than those who still read a newspaper. With help from DreamWorks, it looks like the company may be back on track to getting some better streaming options for those still interested in sticking around with the service post 2012. The Cast of ‘The Princess Bride’ Reunite

The Princess Bride Inconceivable

The time that has passed since the release of the infamous adaptation of William Goldman’s fantasy novel, The Princess Bride, is quite inconceivable. (At least I think so…) I was no more than seven-months old when Westley (played by Cary Elwes) sought out his true love, Buttercup (Robin Wright) from the evil clutches of Vizzini (Wallace Shawn) and then Prince Humperdink (Chris Sarandon) with the help of Fezzik (André the Giant) and Inigo Montoya (Mandy Pantinkin)

But enough with the nostalgia, Entertainment Weekly was fortunate enough to gather the surviving cast from The Princess Bride for their reunion issue that came out earlier this month. After the jump check out the cast photo of The Princess Bride almost 25-years later shot by Art Streiber.
