Movie Quote of the Day: American Pie

Over ten years ago, a coming of age teen comedy about pie came into my life and still has a place in my heart today. Today’s movie quote of the day comes to you from this classic teen comedy.

Jim’s Dad: We’ll just tell your mother that… we ate it all.

Epic Mario Paint Evolution of Video Game Music

Mario Paint enthusiast/composer(?), Adolfo Baez, has created an epic nine minute montage of the evolution of video game music through Mario Paint. You can check out Adolfo’s YouTube Page to see his other works. This piece took him about one or two hours a day for three weeks to get this done and is executed pretty well. Pieced together by ear, this composition of video game music is really fun and captures the essence of the original songs. All of the songs are from Nintendo games unfortunately except for one Final Fantasy song, but the video is still pretty enjoyable. Check out the little medley after the jump!

Movie Quote of the Day

Too busy watching the Lost series finale last night to post anything, so here is the Movie Quote of the Day from a little romantic dramedy that I rank pretty high as one of my favorite films of all time.

Summer: We’ve been like Sid and Nancy for months now.

Tom: Summer, Sid stabbed Nancy, seven times with a kitchen knife, I mean we have some disagreements but I hardly think I’m Sid Vicious.

Summer: No I’m Sid.

Tom: Oh, so I’m Nancy…

Movie Quote of the Day

My Movie Quote of the Day continues with a fair and just quote from a classic sci-fi adventure flick you may have heard of before!

Chewbacca: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrgh!

C-3PO: He made a fair move. Screaming about it can’t help you.

Han Solo: Let him have it. It’s not wise to upset a Wookiee.

C-3PO: But sir, nobody worries about upsetting a droid.

Han Solo: That’s ’cause droids don’t pull people’s arms out of their sockets when they lose. Wookiees are known to do that.

Chewbacca: Grrf.

C-3PO: I see your point, sir. I suggest a new strategy, R2: let the Wookiee win.

The Morgan Freeman Chain of Command

Morgan Freeman has performed many characters that have worked in many different career paths and someone decided to create a little infographic depicting his characters in a chain of command diagram. Who doesn’t love infographics? It’s a pretty interestingly fun graphic and it’s amusing to see all of the positions Freeman has “worked” in. What profession will Morgan Freeman take on next? Perhaps a sports coach or maybe the mayor of a major city. Check it out after the jump Continue reading

Movie Quote Of The Day

I’m going to start this new topic once a day just to get some fun content that is away from news and other random junk. So here we go! Movie Quote of the Day:

Scarlett: “Rhett, Rhett… Rhett, if you go, where shall I go? What shall I do?”

Rhett Butler: “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

T-He: You’re Dead Meat Butthead! 1980s Movie Bullies Montage!

The Huffington Post put together a 5 minute montage of all the greatest bully moments from 1980s films. So many wedgies, slaps, and insults; so many memories. Revenge of the Nerds to Heathers, Monster Squad, Teen Wolf and more can all be seen within this awesome tribute.

Michael Bay Changes Transformers 3 Roster, Megan Fox Cut From The Team

The big news hit today from Deadline that the little vixen with the big mouth, Megan Fox, has been passed up in Transformers 3. Paramount had decided not to use the sassy young starlet and Michael Bay had the final say. Other sources from Variety and People have as well confirmed this story. With that being said and the ominous approaching shooting start for Transformers 3, there have already been discussions on a new love interest for leading man Shia LaBeouf.

Would You Survive on Lost?

These people didn’t. Someone decided to make a fun video montage of every death scene from Lost throughout all six seasons to date up to the final two episodes. The montage is mixed with the song, ‘People Who Died,’ by the Jim Carroll Band. This was a pretty well made montage considering how many people have died on Lost.

One Year, A Whole Lot of Movies

Exactly one year ago, May 17, 2009, I embarked on a mission to watch many films that I have never seen before within the time frame of a year. My shame list was pretty large and very embarrassing if you would like to call yourself a film geek. My mission started as a little with 100 films by the end of Summer, but it grew into a monster task of trying to watch over a year’s worth of films I have never seen before in less than a year.

One year later and I have completed my journey with a final film count of 390 watched that I have never seen before. With watching so many films in a year it’s getting hard to see new films, but I still want to give this a go into round 2 starting today. If you have any suggestions on what films I need to see, LET ME KNOW! You can read about my  365 mark at my old post and see what other films I have seen. You can check out the other 25 films after the jump!
