It should come as no surprise that The LEGO Movie has earned itself a sequel. Garnering $468 million at the worldwide box office, it is one of the highest grossing movies of the year. And we have now learned that the writer directors of the first film, Chris Miller and Phil Lord, will be returning to write the sequel. Loosely adapted from the comic source material, this animated feature infuses that heartfelt Disney sensibility with Marvel‘s action-oriented storytelling.
