‘Ben 10’ Animators Developing ‘Mega Man’ TV Series Set for 2017
In the realm of gaming, there’s been an incredible lack of Mega Man titles as of late. And with the 30th anniversary of one of the most iconic characters ever created on the horizon, there will be justice as of 2017. Dentsu Entertainment USA has partnered with Man of Action Entertainment to develop a new 26-episode animated series based on Capcom’s little boy blue reploid (UPDATE: I was corrected on Tumblr that Mega Man is not a reploid, but in fact the reploids were based on his model and my false claim, despite some references to him being one, “hurts credibility” for the character.) Find out more about this development after the jump. Continue reading

Pixar’s ‘The Good Dinosaur’ Teaser Trailer Asks “What If?” [25 Screenshots]
If you felt a little empty inside last year, that’s because Pixar did not have an animated release. It was a first for the animation studio – between The Incredibles and Cars – since 2005. Inside Out opens in theaters on June 19, but to make up for what was suppose to release last year, Pixar has another film opening this Thanksgiving. The first teaser for The Good Dinosaur appeared today asking audiences “what if?”
For how long they’ve had to work on The Good Dinosaur, Pixar doesn’t really provide us with much of anything in terms of what it’s about. The “what if” scenario is fun to think about for a second, but there is really nothing here to judge whether or not they’ll execute a good story based on that premise. I get some of that classic Pixar humor peeking its head out with the asteroid flying over the Earth, and the character designs are fine.
Last year, John Lithgow stated they completely reimagined the story, so I’m looking forward to what the studio can bring with a full-length trailer. The director, Peter Sohn made his big debut with the Pixar short “Partly Cloudy.” He has since been a part of Pixar within their art, story, and animation departments. He has also voiced the characters of Emile from Ratatouille and Scott “Squishy” Squibbles from Monsters University.

Here’s the plot synopsis for The Good Dinosaur courtesy of Pixar:
The Good Dinosaur asks the question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? Pixar Animation Studios takes you on an epic journey into the world of dinosaurs where an Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend. While traveling through a harsh and mysterious landscape, Arlo learns the power of confronting his fears and discovers what he is truly capable of.

Directed by Peter Sohn, The Good Dinosaur stars the voices of Lucas Neff, John Lithgow, Francis McDormand, Bill Hader, Neil Patrick Harris, and Judy Greer. This film is set to play in theaters on November 25, 2015.

New ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2’ Poster Destroys President Snow
Whether you’re a fan of The Hunger Games series or not, you have to admit that the mockingjay symbol will forever be engrained in the annals of pop culture for generations to come. Capitalizing on this opportunity, the marketing team behind The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 have utilized its full potential in the latest revolutionary stand against President Snow and The Capitol.
Bearing similarities to Mockingjay – Part 1’s teaser trailer, we now see the porcelain white statue of President Snow blown to bits with the mockingjay symbol painted on the wall behind it. In the corner a little URL is displayed, revolution.pn, which asks you to “Take a Stand” against the Capitol. Here’s the official Tweet where the poster originated:
Down with the Capitol! Check out the all-new official poster for #MockingjayPart2 & #UNITE at TheCapitol.PN! http://t.co/iQVFnjSLwF—

And here’s a larger picture that you can click to enlarge:
Earlier this March, the first teaser trailer for Mockingjay – Part 2 was unleashed. Also taking advantage of the iconic mockingjay symbol, we watch it evolve through its many forms from the franchise. It’s a pretty well conceived teaser as it takes lines of dialogue from each previous entry to build anticipation for the explosive final form. Check it out:

And of course, here are two previous teaser posters that have been released:
Here is the official plot synopsis for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2, courtesy of Lionsgate:
With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow [Donald Sutherland] in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale [Liam Hemsworth], Finnick [Sam Claflin] and Peeta [Josh Hutcherson] – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her. The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
Directed by Francis Lawrence, from a screenplay by Peter Craig and Danny Strong, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Jeffrey Wright, Willow Shields, Sam Claflin, Jena Malone, Stanley Tucci, Donald Sutherland, Julianne Moore, Mahershala Ali, Natalie Dormer, Wes Chatham, Elden Henson, and Evan Ross. The film is set to arrive in theaters on November 20, 2015.
